If so does anyone have any recommended builds for it? It's one of the few classes I have no clue on how to go about making an effective build with.
Tried looking all over the place but nobody talks much about it.

Also look for any thread with a BlackStork in it. He is the most vociferous Luka fan on these forums.
BTW, watched a YouTube video last night with some one playing her class. She seems incredibly cool and funny as a character. Looking forward to unlocking her now.

She's a pretty versatile character, so you'll see multiple builds. My 4 skills are Shadow strike, elemental mines, stealth, and flask of flame. Usually open up with stealth to speed through and see what to hit shadow strike with while positioning myself to carpet bomb with flask+elemental mines. Flask of flame+elemental mines will never stop being fun. For single targets though I'll pop flask then do stealth+shadow strike spam, especially on some demons that just don't trigger the mines.

i have flask of fire, flask of frost, elemental grenades and poisoned weapons.
Flask of fire upgraded gives you the chance to spam Christmas lights for free.
Flask of frost and poisoned weapons gives you some power in melee.

Shes my fav class so far of the ones I have unlocked. You can get lots of kill streaks with her.

There few builds, and they are very different. Atm i am on my 4th Lukas reincarnation (promoted her 3 times)
Some builds have much highter skill cap, some require certain team composition, some are devastating but very squishy.
After many tries i found that mobility is key. Also with certain builds you must be very careful and know your position well, and when you should be back or should be attacking. You are aoe tactical player. This means with some builds you could kill less compared to any ranged. Because you are not warrior and thus your tank suck, and you are melee. In case youy use assasin melee skill focused builds positioning and timing are very important, as well as your target prioritization.
I like poision most, simplistic poision build could be devastating when used with keeper barrier. But without barrier it is squishy and prone to death , much like suicide bomber exploding terrorist.
In boss fights very skilled group could chain poision effect all over the place so the mobs will get intoxicated and die and xplode with more poison fumes.
Carpet bombing is common and very funny thing.
Knock Bomb + SS or Flank Attack is also good.
Melee builds arer quishy but devastating. You need to practice to position yourself in, do in-out runs and not to die.
I find Evade is vital spell for kiting. Kiting is almost always neccessary and will provide you surviliability.
You can not account for Frost Flask as your tank. You are not tank, but you are pretty good at kiting end bosses while dealing incredible damage, if you know what you are doing. Your tank = damage, escape, flanking and distance.
With barrier and proper team and timing you are unstopabble devastator. Without it you must consider each move, since going too deep in will get you killed.
You'd better have some Constitution items to improve your surviliability.
Next build i am going to will be high mobility, melee poison build. Probably will feature posoned flank attack with stealth and evade.
Each build is very fun, but have own learning curve.
Also you one of best characters to kite Demon Commander.

I like the Alchemist, but I think I messed up on my build (WHY ARE THERE NO RESPEC CARDS?!!
)
I currently have evade, frost flask, mines, and poison weapons. While the build can kill things, it's not as effective as I would like.
P.S. A tip for any newbie Alchemist players out there. Elemental Mines will NOT hit an enemy directly in front of you; using the mines as a panic button will only coat the ground behind your target with shinnies; I learned that the hard way. ![]()

I would if I hadn't become my group's resident Mage. ![]()
My friends already have the rogue and warrior slots filled, and I don't want to be the one to deprive us of treasure rooms.
Its not too bad though, I have a lvl 19 Necromancer, and I am working towards unlocking an Arcane Warrior.

I can't imagine a build without elemental mines. Those are a life-saver.
Luka is my 'main'. She's great. My four skills are stealth, evade, elemental mines, and shadow strike. My main tactic is: throw elemental mines at large group of enemies, go into stealth, flank attack as many as possible and rack up the kill streak. She's been killer. I've had three different playthroughs where it's been down to me and one other character (a legionnaire once, a reaver the second time, and a keeper the third time) and we've taken on at least half of the fifth round on our own. I think she's a killer character.

I'm currently using Elemental Mines, Toxic Cloud, Flank Attack and Stealth. I definitely wanna try out the build outside routine difficulty, but everyone seems to need either a keeper or legionnaire.

I prefer the Elementalist over the Keeper and Templar over the Legionnaire. Barrier is nice but underwhelming with how hard it is to get it on your team and how freaking fast it evaporates. At least with the Elementalist, I can have nice dps with Barrier.

Knight-Protector makes the Keeper's Barrier drain more slowly but Chaotic Focus will make the Elementalist's Barrier 50% stronger than the Keeper's. Both are good options although the Elementalist is far more versatile overall since they can use it for a DPS boost as well. Given that the upgrade for Barrier reduces the cooldown when it expires, having it drain slower may not be a good thing if you intend to keep it active when needed.
Does anyone know how the Barrier's damage bonus from Chaotic Focus is calculated?
EDIT: Sorry, I just realized my response to the previous poster was off-topic. I'll leave my post but did not intend to derail the topic.

I'd guess if you had only 30% left then it would be 30% bonus damage.
Btw playing alchemist now, OMG dwarf female rogue is the cutest most adorable thing ever!!!!!

It's fun to play but feels like an inferior assassin tbh
Elemental mines are so random it hurts.
You must be doing it wrong if it feels like the Assassin.

Depletable resource? What are you talking about?
Many talents are elixir based.

Many talents are elixir based.
Yes, but I am 99% sure it doesn't take any potions from your inventory. Have you ever seen a potion for ice armor? I haven't, and I still use that power all the time. Calling it an elixir power is just to provide context.

Wasn't talking about those ones, the thing is ice, fire etc is what makes the class unique but what does it do that's better than assassin? Spam elemental mines with fire flask is about the only thing.
