In DA2 there was a chest in hawkes home that you could throw in cool stuff that you did not want to carry around but wanted to keep, is there anyway to do that in DA:I? i have limited space and there are so many cool purple items i want to keep but have outleveled it

regards

No chest.

Out of curiosity: Why do you want to keep those items, because they're purple even though they're useless to you?

They might be useless at some point, but just a few reasons to keep them for a while before throwing them out:

- staves have elemental properties which cannot be changed as melee weapons through gems, so you must have a weaker weapon but with the best elemental properties for the enemies you are currently fighting

- if you are playing on harder difficulties you may want to save one equipment or another due to some stats a lower gear has while the better gear doesn't. Like bonus to barrier damage

And on higher levels that may become mandatory to test strategies vs performance

Not to mention all of the accessories that make specific abilities more powerful, you would certainly want to save ones that improve you and your companions focus abilities for boss battles.

I only play nightmare, and when it's outleveled, it gets sold.

Regarding staves, yes, I run with two mages, so I have 2 of each permanently. That is not surplus, but necessity, as doing 1 damage per hit doesn't do much.

Also let's not forget items that I don't qualify for yet! I've been saving a helm that requires lvl 17, and I'm still only lvl 14. And while I'm doing that it is taking up some precious inventory space, not to mention having to keep in mind not to accidentally sell it!

Sure, that's cool, but the original poster said: there are so many cool purple items i want to keep but have outleveled it.

That is what my question was about.

Because I may decide to use it for a specific companion later. Like I keep various staffs for whichever mage I have in my party, so that they all have their own individual staff.

Because I have stuff that I'm not high enough level to use yet.

I'd like to stash it someplace instead of running out of inventory space when I'm in the middle of nowhere.

I'm disappointed in not having a storage chest. I really wanted to keep some of the unique items I found. But if I sell them at the Undercroft can I buy them back later?

Hey EA/Bioware! This could be a great add-on for a future DLC or campaign. Like you did for Warden's Keep? Hello? Anyone listening?

Well, I tried. Maybe someday they'll give us storage. It's the way to a woman's heart, you know.

Yeah, a storage chest would be great! +1 for wanting one, even if it's part of a DLC!

Beyond any argument, we always had it, doesn't matter the game or dlc, almost any game has a chest for everything else

Every item is technically useless. Life is meaningless and we are all going to die. Give us a damn box to keep nice trinkets.

Every time Bioware does the same thing over and over.... We beg and plead. Please give us 1. better hair. 2. a storage chest. And finally 3. A way to alter our character in game. Every time they ignore us. Blatantly ignore us. And miraculously they seem to hear our pleas and give us 2 and 3 with a paid dlc.... hmmmmm...

Of course they never work on the hair. It boggles the mind how they sat at a table and said "this hair looks great!" How do you actually have worse hair than DA2 and origins? I am actually running with a girl with a buzz cut because it is the best option availaible. sigh.

As regards a storage chest, for me one appeared in the undercroft. It's right in front of you on the balcony as you come in the door. I don't remember when it first showed up but there it was when I entered the room.
