I have to play the xbox 360 verison. Don't have money for a new pc. I wish they provided a ported version of the xbox 360 game so people that don't have everything required could still play on pc. The requirements are really high, yet the game can be playe on and xbox 360. Once I have the money and get a good enough pc, I plan to replay on pc. I guess the side benefit is a lot of the early glitches and problems will be rectified, but I miss playing on pc. Even a limited keyboard and mouse is better than controller only. I'm still getting used to it. :(

I played the pre-release Demo on the Xbox One, and I've been playing the game on PC since launch.  Trust me when I say that while yes, the controls were WAY better in DAO on the PC than on the Xbox, it really isn't the same way now, it's MUCH more fun on the Xbox than it was in the past, and I'm not sure the controls are any better at all on the PC really.  It's super fun either way!

Well, my hope is they address the clunkiness of the controls on the pc and by the time I have my new pc it'll be better. I just miss playing on the pc. Even with the limitations, I enjoy playing on pc more. I could still use my controller with my pc and my graphics card is superior to what the xbox 360 provides, I just don't have a 64 bit OS and need to upgrade the cpu. For that, I'll just get a whole new computer. Maybe after tax time. :D

Thing is, Bioware can't 'win' either way regarding your solution/idea. If they had made the PC version equivalent to the xbox360 version then ppl like yourself would be happy, but all the ppl looking forward to the 'better' version would be peeved off - they would be cuz then technically the XBO/PS4 version's would be superior to the PC version as PC version would be limited to 32-bit, etc.

And forget making 2 PC versions - it would have made the game even more buggy and problematic on PC than it already is. It's obvious not enough time was given for QA of DAI, if they had to split dev to have both a 32-bit and 64-bit version... they'd have had even less time to program it, QA it, etc... so it would be an even bigger huge mess. This would cause even more backlash and hatred (they are already receiving a lot of flak already for the PC issue's... such as bugs, crashing, PC controls, etc caused by lack of time of dev & QA on PC version).

Or, they could just make a working control scheme and sensible UI for PC. You know, something altogether different from the console version. One version for consoles, one version for PC.

But what they have chosen to do is just ****** off one considerable segment of their player base.

True. I was just thinking about how Darksiders 2 is a straight console port of the Xbox 360 version. I was thinking maybe a straight port of the XB360 version with maybe a texture patch would have been possible as a lighter alternative pc version. I did find it surprising, though, that Vista was completely ignored. I would have thought it would still be supported. Now, I know DS2 is not EA, but my experience with that game got me to thinking about the possibility. I have nothing against consoles, I just really don't like playing DA games on console.

By putting a horrible looking game on the older console and thinking the player base would be happy with it is BioWare showing they don't really care about the product they're making.  This game had zero business being released on the older consoles, but money talks.

I don't like the PC controls for DA:O or DA2, so I went with the Xbox360 plus I have everything on the console and wanted to continue that.  Where I've never finished a run on PC for either game.  Now, I have a crapolo looking game and if I truly want to enjoy it, I'll have to get the PC version and use a controller to play it.

EA strikes again.

Actually I own the 360 version and it's perfectly fine.
