I obviously want this game to sell well so we can see further installments. This is Bioware's first big game, obviously there'll be a learning curve. DAI is really fun so far and very addicting. Imagine how much better their next installment will be.
Any news on sale figures? I want this franchise to keep going. It'd be a shame if EA dissolved this franchise.

First big game? You're 14 years too late if you're talking about baulders gate.

DAI does seem to be selling well though.

I'm not sure I follow your logic. BioWare has been making "big games" for years. It's their first major title since the Mass Effect 3 debacle. I hope it's selling well.

I'm playing on PS4 and not experiencing any of the difficulties that seem to be mostly afflicting the PC crowd. I hope prompt patches are released for those folks, both for their sake and for the sake of the game. I don't want EA deciding this series isn't worth major investments down the road.

Everyone i know bar a couple people has got a refund, not a big sample size admittedly but pretty telling considering how fanatically my circle of friends follow RPG's. I really really hope most PC players have done the same. The only way to speak to corporations is through the wallet.

PC version of DAI has been out of stock in most local retailers and digital resellers in my country.

New gen consoles are yet to bloom in my country.

I figure its probably selling well, even though I think a lot of people probably don't know all the details with this release (I can't imagine most people come onto forums and read in depth reviews, they probably just get it based off of word of mouth and trailers/screenshots tbh)

I am hanging on to my copy (for PC) because I feel like Bioware is going to make good on what they set out to do, and that is provide a great PC experience as per all their claims prior to release.

I'm disappointed that they didn't come through right at launch, but feel like they ran out of time tbh. Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't matter either way. If they make it right and improve PC performance and controls, I will move on.

if they don't and I'm waiting another month to play this game propery, or more properly, then that is a different story. I have always been a supporter, played all Mass Effect games and both DA:O and DA2.. if they don't make right, I will just no longer purchase their games any more. Done and done.

Going to a console potato is not an option for me. I have been, and always will be, a PC gamer.

It was the top selling game on Green Man Gaming when I purchased it earlier today, but I have no idea what kind of volume GMG does.

i hope it is selling well.

but im surprise a remake of GTA V on the PS4 is actually selling better than this game on Amazon.

GTA V is a great game but it is a remake of a barely an year old game so i really don't see why it should be selling better.

Feel kind of sad for Bioware.

I'm just going by psnprofiles which monitors registered trophy hunters and it's the fourth most popular game now. Right behind gta5 (15k), acu (12k), fc4 (7k). the last two are ubisoft games. DAI has over 5k players.

I bet it's selling decently but probably not as good as it should be. I mean come on a buggy messy game like acu is outselling a more polished funner and romantic game? This is outrageous. And I don't know if gta5 is buggy or optomised but don't get me started on how it's selling the most! What the!?

If it's any indications of how it's doing in the US (most important market), not particularly good. Might not be that bad either if the top spots are close together. Though, being beaten by FIFA which is out for two months now... i know soccer is popular here in Europe but still...

Considering the mass appeal of the games above it don't really see an issue with being 5th.

Single-player RPGs have never been top-sellers though.

Action-Adventure and Sports games tend to out-sell them. DAI's position is fine.

We'll find out sales figures soon enough.

Sometimes I feel I am the only who is dead tired of action FPS games.

I sincerely can't understand what people see in the recent Call of Duty games.

PvP has appeal. Shooting games and sports games excel at that.

Shooting and sports games brilliantly including RPG elements ( the former via the Perk system and the latter via Career mode) only made it more addictive.

Most Lebanese gamers play action-adventure games. RPG-players are relatively scarce.

I know but again FIFA has been out for frigging two months...

The new Assassins Creed is behind DAI on its 2nd weekend, considering it's a big franchise, numbers might not be that bad (it's just on next-gen systems, though).

Its important to note the types of games above DA;I in the chart. DA;I is pretty much neck-beard central compared to bro-fests like COD. Mostly single player RPG's will never compete with games like that and GTA - the nature of the industry.

I think its a bloody good showing to be honest.

Well, Assassins Creed Unity f*cked up big time IMO.

Micro-transactions that go from 9 to 99 dolars in an already full-priced game? Jesus...

You're talking about FIFA though. It's got mass appeal. The World Cup is one of the most watched television broadcasts..

Most of its fans enjoy playing the game itself on consoles and PC. I don't know a single gamer in my country who does not own a copy of FIFA 2014 or 2015.

My cousin and his friends invite me over to play FIFA with them all the time. I'm pretty horrible at it although I tell them I'd kick their asses in DotA any day >.>

They ran out of copies first day at the local shopping centre kmart and bigw were competing on price ($68) so EB games made a killing when they ran out selling full price copies for $109.99.

Didn't it go "gold" just on pre-orders alone? So what's that ... a million? Plus copies sold post-release. The game is clearly selling well.

The bigger question for the future of the franchise is probably, how many copies will be returned?

While DA:I seems to be running fairly well on new gen consoles, there have been a few problems with last gen machines and, obviously, it does sound as if many, many PC gamers are having a terrible time. Sure, some of the complaints can be dismissed as feelings of "entitlement" but, putting those to one side, there are still a lot of people who are finding the game genuinely unplayable due to frequent crashes and/or freezing. I'm not playing it on PC (yay, for the PS4!) but I suspect the future of the franchise (or at least its reputation) will depend on how quickly the PC version can be patched.

Going gold means a game is completed on the development side, I thought. >_>

Also trust me there is at least one major glitch on my PS4 file. Sadness.

Yup, gone gold means it is final version sent to manufacturers. It has nothing to do with "gold record" in music industry.

A new FIFA game can beat anything in Europe mate. I'm very surprised it's not on top of the UK chart you have shared.

It isn't new. It was released 2 months ago.
