In Exalted Plains there's a Dalish camp where you have to recruit an agent. To do that you need to gain favor of the elves there by doing their quests.

I've done all of their quests, but one of them gave me -2 favor (told a woman that the guy she was looking for was using blood magic). And because of this I'm stuck with this quest, cuz I don't want to replay hours of content again. It won't close as failed and there is nothing left to do to gain any more favor it seems.

As per the strategy guide, this quest can be "impossible" to finish if you tank your approval with the Dalish.

Do the supply quests you do give favor?

Yes. +1 for each. I think the last one (bear pelts) may be a bit more but I'm unsure about that. Unlike requisition orders, these are finite though.

Can you tell us the point value of each of the quest turn ins with their respective quests as well as the total points needed? Would make this alot easier for people that need help on this.

Unfortunately I don't have access to that. :( I finished the quest earlier myself so it's still fresh but my memory is not that sharp.

With that said, I was able to get full approval without completing all quests. I haven't turned in the great bear pelts, for one, as I haven't explored the Emerald Groves.

If you mess up early, youll get a chance to regain +3 dalish rep later on in emerald graves, there will be a quest about a knights tomb, you will have two options, give it to the dalish or sell it to the chantry , if you want the agent you must hand it to the dalish in exalted plains :)

After you find dead elf body, you will get another quest to retrieve some amulet - that is very precious to Dalish.

If you find the body and retrieve the amulet then turn the in the body then load your game to before you told her the body was found then the npc glitches. She will always keep asking you to find the body even though you completed the quest and you can't get amulet reward. Just stating it so no one else gets messed up like me.

I have a similar problem. I have a good standing with the dalish, but i cannot complete the quest and the the agent. The quest tells me to talk with the potential dalish agent,, but my avalible conversation option is "good bye". Any clues or tips?

Get the Golden Halla, don't kill it.

Find the body, bring amulet back.

Goto Graveyard, kill mobs, DO NOT TOUCH Graves or take key for door at the back yet.

Fetch all the ladies junk she wants.

This should get you high enough to get Agent.

Then go mess w/ Graves and the crypt....

I have high reputation with the Dalish clan and completed all quests in that area (related to the Dalish specifically). I believe, completing certain quest sequences out of order, render the completion of: By The Grace of the Dalish, impossible. May be a script break somewhere. Needs to be looked into though :P

How do you get the golden halla?

I killed it by accident because I was just hunting halla leather. Do you have to interact with it or something?

You need to herd it to the Dalish camp - it is usually done by running after it and then flanking it if it begins to swerve. It is easy to start by sneaking around so you are with the camp in front of you. You can do it on a mount as well.

Did you talk to the keeper and get his permission? Once favor is high enough you say "that boy wants to join" and keeper says "I can see you are well intentioned, you have my blessing." Or something.

Then you talk to the agent. Unless it's bugged (haven't heard of this being a big yet but at this point no bug would surprise me.)

I have this exact same problem and I'm pretty sure I know why (at least, for me). It has to do with the way they have those "proximity" conversations. I had already gotten the "talk to dude" quest, and had yet to turn in the last supplies one. When I went to turn those in and talk to the woman about it, the potential agent guy was of course nearby. He half-started his conversation about being allowed to join the inquisition (without my deciding I wanted to talk to him) and so when I hit "talk to" on the woman, it cancelled his conversation. I have never been able to have another one with him.

So irksome. Obviously I could have reloaded from before I did all that but I never thought about it (I figured maybe a reload/map change/whatever might help), and I've done WAY more stuff since then. So I shall forever have a 98% finished quest in my log.

I had the keeper bugged in one of my playthrough , and couldn't complete the quest to get rid of demons.

I had to go to the Emerald Graves for the special bear pelts , and even if the Keeper was still bugged , I got enough reputation and I got the Dalish agent .(As far as I know the agent is not a real quest , it's unlocked once you're done with the Dalish rep)

And there's also the tomb in the Emerald Graves granting you reputation if you give the informations you found to the Dalish.

So even if some quest are bugged it's still possible to manage , (well unless you messed up every quests) just takes longer.

Hey! I dunno if the op or anyone else resolved their issue meanwhile... but i had the same issue where i couldn't complete the quest cause i accidentally killed the halla and chose negative replies in another report. Alas i had no save available to backtrack my mistake (i had one like 6 hours before, not happenig), cause my quick and autosave were both very later.

This quest really needs a fix.

It isn't broken. Would you approve of (give favor to) someone you barely knew who called your relative an idiot or, accused them of a crime or who killed something you thought was sacred? Would you like the person that desecrated your ancestor's grave?

It is broken in the context of being a side quest in a videogame.

If 'broken' = 'failing the quest', then yes.

There does appear to be surplus dalish favour, but it allows for only so much to upset them...
