I have gotten NOTHING but blue rings from enemies on my elf mage.

By nothing but I mean literally nothing but.

No weapons. No armors.

At one point I had over 20 rings in my inventory just from chests and random mobs.

As if that wasn't bad enough....EVERY SINGLE ONE is for a Warrior. (I am a Mage)

Has anyone else had an issue with loot not being very random? Or getting the same type of loot ALL the time?

Yes, and no.

On my Dalish the loot was coming out pretty balanced, and useful - had a few too many warrior rings, I must admit... but it was covered up by all the staffs and armor upgrades/schematics.

On my Qunari, however, I have literally had to buy schematics cos in about 12 hours of gameplay I've had 4 drop, and those were in the first hour. I had to make cloth armor because I've literally had none drop - and with how much of an ass it is to collect cloth crafting materials, it's been a farking chore keeping my mages on par with the rest of the party.

The loot does seem a little odd, yes.  The rings, belts haven't been bad.  A few too many warrior rings, but that wasn't a huge deal between Cass, Bull and Blackwal. The armor was a little rough (okay, my dwarf PC can't wear dwarf-trained armor...da faq?), but I just bought some nice stuff when I got to Orlais.  For drops I've gotten rare and unique weapons for every class combo except for rogue archers.  And guess what spec combination I am?   <_<

Also, Sera came into my party with zero gear after recruitment.  That seems odd, considering all of the other companions have at least had a piece of armor and a weapon.

Yah, that's another bug. She had gear when I picked her up.

Never thought I'd take a game design idea from Diablo 3, but about a year ago they did a huge patch for the loot.  Basically, if you were, say, a demon hunter, you'd have a greater chance of having loot dropping that actually suited your class.  Wizard, same, ect ect.  It made things more enjoyable for both myself and my husband, since we knew we'd be more likely actually using the stuff that dropped.  It would be nice if the BW developers could do something like this for DA:I.

Seriously game, enough with the warrior rings and belts, thanks.

This seems like a constructive thread, which is hard to find right now.  I'm not interested on bashing on the company or the DA team or anything like that and I'm glad to see so far, no one else is in here either.  That's...pretty popular right now and while I'm not faulting some for being upset, I'm afraid that any constructive feedback is going to get lost in the cries of frustration.

If it's alright with you guys, may I use this thread to post about some of the bugs I've been finding in the game?
