That's it?
I complete my Act 1 main quest of recruiting mages or templars and close the Breach just like that?
The smaller rifts are still around, but I was under the impression from marketing that the Breach would be a major problem throughout the entire game. That in addition to fighting the Elder One, dealing with the Orlesian Civil War, Mage-Templar War, and the Grey Warden mess that we'd also have the Breach and it's resultant demonic invasion over our heads.
I thought that it would be some sort of "Sword of Damocles" that's persistently in the background and remaining a threat that the Inquisitor has to deal with or not only will the world become more and more vulnerable to demon invasion, but the Inquisitor's own life would be in personal peril.
I was expecting the first attempt to close the Breach at the end of Act 1 to be a depressing bust. That the Breach appears to close, only to open wider much more strongly from within the Fade and an army of demons led by the Elder One demolishes Haven with the survivors having to rally and retreat to Skyhold with the Breach growing wider and wider as time goes on. Then after dealing with all of the other major quests, the Inquisitor would go back to the ruins of Haven and seal the Breach with the potential cost of their own life.
Instead, the Breach is closed and the rest of the game is spent dealing with the Elder One and the other main quests.
Considering that the Breach as built-up and marketed as the central conflict and main impetus of the game's plot, I'm disappointed that it's resolved barely 15-20 hours into the game. It just makes an otherwise great story-line somewhat weaker, especially since there's no ever constant threat of death from the Breach's spread.
It feels like the Sword of Damocles was completely taken away and now there's nothing left.
