I need help getting all the Assassin weapons. I only need one more. I got the two from Crestwood, Flats and East Hills or whatever. The assassin in the Black Fens is not there. Where else can I go to get the third Assassin weapon?

Assassin weapons can drop from any enemy rogue, I actually got most of mine completing a quest in Hinterlands though tbh I can't remember which one.

The assassin weapons started dropping around level 8, and I only got the option to specialize at level 10, last level.  I'm saving my ability point for an assassin ability, but I can't find a single deathroot.  Where are they? (Edit:  Nevermind - found where they are in the strategy guide.)

They are all in Crestwood, one is by the quarry south-east of the dam (this is the one you are looking for - in black fens), another by the skull-thing south near Old Crestwood Village (the sunken one), and the last one north-east of Old Crestwood by the northern lake.

You'll need to look in the Western Approach. I haven't been to either Hissing Wastes or Forbidden Oasis but assuming they are open zone deserts I believe they too will contain deathroot. Also unrelated that's an adorable American Eskimo for your avy, have one as well.

Thanks, and yea, that's my buddy Mojo.  He's 12 now -- we've had him for almost 11 years (he was a rescue).  He's our second -- our first died when he was 16.  Just love the breed.

You can also buy deathroot from the merchant at Crestwood Village, if running around collecting herbs isn't your thing.

I've cleared those areas before taking the quest, now I can't get the weapon parts, any way to reset it?

This shows you a map + video of where to find the Assassins that you need who drop the weapons in Crestwood. I believe you also have to capture Caer Bronach keep and then drain out the water with the Still Waters quest in Crestwood to obtain the last weapon. The guide says "it may take you multiple hunting trips to kill enough enemies to farm all three units." Hopefully, that helps!

The guy in the Black Fens wasn't there when I did this, and did not spawn regardless of my efforts. I looked up this problem on Google and it appears to be common.

 

I resolved the issue by going to Hinterlands, stealthing, entering Valmamar, getting close to the Carta Assassin who lives down the first flight of steps to the left of the entrance, saving the game, and then killing this guy over and over again, saving and reloading.

 

The weapon finally dropped after around 15 attempts.
