For me it's Inquisitor => Warden => Hawke.

Inquisition manages to make my Inquisitor seem like both my character and a character in their own right, which I really like. The addition of good expressions and the reaction wheel really sealed it for me.

Inquisitor > Hawke > Warden

That might change. Right now I'm having a really difficult time imagining another playthrough with a different Inquisitor because I connected to them so well. I think the lack of voiced dialogue kills the connection I have to my Warden(s), though I still like them.

Inquisitor=> Hawke=> Warden

For me it's more about who seems like more of a character. Hawke and the Inquisitor both had voices, were moving around, etc. The Inquisitor more so, of course, which is one of the reasons why the Inquisitor is my favourite.

Although I understand why people prefer the Warden, for me the Warden was more of a prop than a true character in the same way the others are. You have more choice with the dialogue but almost everything else applied to them is pure head-canon.

The Marquis of Serault who is this guy what game did I missed or is that facebook game that I could not suffer?

Not a Facebook game. "Dragon Age: The Last Court" - the text-based game accessed through the Dragon Age Keep.

1) Sarcastic Hawke

2) Inquisitor

3) Hero of Ferelden

Sarcastic Hawke might be my favorite protagonist of all-time. He enabled me to get more enjoyment out of Dragon Age II than I would've otherwise.

I have to disagree with you on that. Again, because the dialogue options in DA:O are far more extensive and have more reactions. Especially because it doesn't have a conversation wheel that simplifies the thing by putting the nice option on top and mean options below. Origins is far more dialogue oriented than the other two DAs and through that dialogue you can most certainly shape the personality of your warden and the reactions people have towards you. Even the race does affect personality and the reactions towards you. Be a humble human noble and you are bound to get good reactions (though not always, which makes it even better). Be a resentful dalish and people are more than likely going to be hostile towards you.

You say that as if it doesn't happen in Inquisition. I felt very much as if I was crafting my (moderately) Andrastian Mage Inquisitor, just as much as I was crafting my Warden, and the Inquisitor has the added bonus of not just staring at things. My second character will be a blunt, mage-hating Qunari warrior, and from the options I know I'll easily make it work too.

Plus, past the prologue race was barely referenced in Origins, My character being a mage is brought up almost every time it's relevant.

I sincerely can't choose...

Warden -> Great character building

Hawke -> I absolutely love the way Hawke handle things while chosing the charming/funny personality, it is totally me

Inquisitor -> Reflect my own inner struggles

If you ask me to rate the games then DAO > DA2 > DAI but the protagonists, hell, it is hard I just can't

The same about companions... Morrigan, Leliana, Isabela, Solas and Anders are so important to me... I don't think I could choose one

I like them all, but Warden > Inquisitor > Hawke.

While I love a voiced protagonist, I didn't take the voices into account since I can't blame the Warden for not having one since it was not his/her choice. I do however care about personalities since all 3 protagonists have it. I want my protagonist to have more than 3 set personalities, or just one by choosing and stick with one like most people that play DA2. I love humorous FemHawke, but from the 3 runs of DA2, I always picked the humorous choices because they're funny. They made me realized that Hawke just doesn't feel like MY character. The Inquisitor also suffered from the 3 personalities choices, just less obvious than Hawke.

Of course, I love how only the Warden start the journey to become a hero because of his/her skills (except the Dalish Warden, only Origin that I hate). I mean how s/he is recruited because of his/her skills. Hawke took 4years? to become make a difference while being at the wrong places at the wrong times. And the Inquisitor, like Cory said, a thief who also walk into the wrong place at the wrong time.

Inquisitor > Warden > Hawke. Hawke was difficult to get invested in because my choices in his creation were limited. Getting to choose your own race and such goes a long way in investing me in the person I'm playing. I like Hawke, but in the way I liked some of my companions, as that's about all he feels like to me. Inquisitor/Warden on the other hand, felt like ~me~

1) Varcen Mahariel. Dragon Age: Origins was the first Dragon Age game, so of course it's going to have some nostalgia. But I truly loved it for its roleplay value. Six different origins, a plethora of dialogue options, and no karma scale meant I could be a knight-in-shining armor one minute and a ruthless, cutthroat blood mage the next. It's one of the few games I'll pick up and play just for the heck of it, years later. It's like Baldur's Gate--I'll never tire of playing it and nothing will really replace it. Well, almost nothing, because in a close second is...

2) The Inquisitor. I really loved the Inquisitor--the wide range of roleplaying options, the emotional dialogue wheel, some truly nice friendship and romance scenes, and sheer badassery has really endeared them to me. And the game itself is liked Assassin's Creed crossed with Skyrim crossed with Dragon Age--it's enormous, gives a lot of lore, and has mind-boggling content. I haven't settled on a canon Inquisitor yet, but they're dangerously close to overthrowing my Warden as my favorite.

3) Danica Hawke (Snarky!Hawke). Snarky!Hawke is a fantastic breathe of air in a horribly angsty game. When everyone around them was screaming "blood magic" or "doom", they were standing there cracking jokes and trying to diffuse the tension--heck, they came across as a more reasonable authority figure than Elthina! Also, their bromance with Varric is the best I've ever seen.

4) Geoffrey de Moreau, Marquis of Serault. The Last Court was not an amazing game, nor was the Marquis a particularly fleshed-out character. But it made the wait for Inquisition less painful, and I was pretty fond of the guy by the end of it. The Marquis isn't trying to kill an archdemon or save the world or anything big, they were just trying to handle mundane problems in their little part of Orlais. It provided an interesting change.

5) Other Hawkes. Diplomatic!Hawke is boring and Aggressive!Hawke is a jerk. Nothing really interesting here.

Hawke > Warden > Inquisitor. Easy choice for me.

But this is only because Bioware was free to create the character they wanted with Hawke because of the character's more established traits. DAII was told within a confined space, and thus some of the vagueness involved in crafting a whomever-you-want-to-be avatar were shed for clearer themes and character development. The Warden and the Inquisitor, on the other hand, were built for head canon.

My beef with the Inquisitor is that he/she never truly feels like this was his/her story. The Warden was thrown into chaos by chance and progressively grew as a result. I never got that same feeling from the Inquisitor; it always seemed as though the events were happening around my Inquisitor by pure chance, rather than as a result of her persistence and skill. I also could never shake the feeling that this story was meant for Hawke, and they threw in pseudo-origin choices to distance this game from DAII's negative backlash.

Warden > Hawke > Inquisitor.

I dunno, I just haven't been able to get a feel of the Inquisitor. Might help when I replay him but eh, the Warden will always be my first and most beloved child (I hope I never have children). Sarcastic Hawke is just... Sarcastic Hawke  :D You can't not love him (even if he did seem a little angry during DA:I).
