Does anyone think Solas/Flemeth/Fen'Harel/Mythal will be the villain in the next game/dlc because of that scene?
[Spoilers] Let's discuss the ending.

I hope they'll at least play a big part, preferably in the next game. It's all just too interesting for it to only be DLC fodder.
I don't know if I think they'll be villains though. They just seemed very... sympathetic in that last scene.

Yeah, I feel the same, definitely should be put off to the next game if able! It was a pretty big twist, too big to waste on a DLC I think.
That's a good point. Everything happened so fast that I wasn't able to make heads or tails of it myself, but I guess it could go either way at this point.

By the way, if it really is Solas who's taking over Flemeth/Mythal, does that mean an Inquisitor who drank from the well is now serving Fen'harel?

Alright, strap in. probably insane theory coming up.
My theory, is a mix of things so here goes.
that temple, the reason the slaves used to walk the path and what not, my theory is that as part of the old elven society they practised ritual human (or more accurately elven) sacrifice.
Literally as "gifts" to their cult leaders were the slaves would willingly give their soul's over to whatever the hell solas and his kind are.
but not as some honor thing to appease them or other worldly purpose.
there souls were used as part of magical art's and artifact's. You see where this is going? the thing that was in Orb was a soul (possibly more than one) this is why Orb could not simply be repaired, what was inside was elven soul(s) once the Orb was shattered those soul's went wherever souls go naturally as they were no longer contained.
which leads us the Flemmeth a soul has to given willingly, which Flemmeth clearly did. She gave Solas that which he could not otherwise acquire more solas energy.
But why what does he need it for? the Answer? "the People" or more accurately His people, I believe Solas created the illivian(sp) network, in conjuntion with the old elven leaders THIS was his trick not the fade the truth was simply lost to the age's.
he created the network or more accurately convinced the other "gods" to create it then sealed them away forever, using his orb as a way to end the war.
with their "gods" destroyed the elven society began to decline it fell to ruin and the Humans began taking over.
But why did he need the old god's soul? my theory is the old god's are something much more powerful indeed even more powerful than Solas and his people. he created the "prison" to ensure his people could not get out. but the old gods are well lets just say something else (what i can expand on if people are interested in)
as such with his Orb destroyed the only way to reopen the prison is with the old god's soul, the old god can direct the illiven(sp) wherever it desires and since the only way to get to the prison is through the illuivian(sp) well there you have it.
I also think this ties back to morrigan i think she was wrong on her idea of the illuivan(sp) I don't think some were "left ajar" i think some are only able to be opened from the gateway this is how Solas trapped the other "gods" in the first place, they stepped through but the control is on the "central station" side.
and i think this is what also befell solas, how it happened or who did it to him i don't know...... (maybe he did it to himself?) the result was he stepped through an illuvian(sp) which was a one way trip, once there he had no real way out perhaps it was a tomb already sealed? or just some far off remote location?
in any case with no way back he went to his long slumber and hungout in the fade......... that was at least until he used a certain dreamer to manipulate event's in the masked empire to have him freed, by getting the illuivans(sp) turned back on.
And so the Dredd Wolf was loosened upon the world and here's the kicker! Remember when cory was woken up? how he didn't seem to be aware he was control the grey wardens? that's because he wasn't. remember what was said in inquisition? "they did everything of their own free will"
Indeed cory had no ability to control wardens at all, not until they used blood magic and bound themselves to him, there was no compulsion from cory when he slept that was all SOLAS! (or his peep's)
he had the seal's broken to release cory to charge his orb all because "The People" need him.

It's quite obvious Flemeth intended to possess him, he used a shield of some sort- look on the effects at his face. he probiilary has simmelar abilities such as hers and thus he took flemeths soul.

I still think that's the best choice, They don't seem like they'll use it and in return you get ancient elven knowledge.

My Lavellan rogue was like, sure, Morrigan, drink from the Well of SORROW if you want, go for it. My Lavellan mage will be like, no way in hell I'm letting a shem get access to the ancient magical culture of my people. And the Dread Wolf can take himself off a cliff. ![]()

Yes.

It's not Morrigans dragon, also Morrigan does not help in the battle with Cory.
