It's probably already got a topic here, but it would be really nice if there could be some fix/patch for the Inquisitor's voice changing after customizing Hawke's appearance. Thanks.

Out of curiosity, which voice did you pick? British accent or American accent?

A British dwarf; after Hawke customization he was American. Apparently others have this problem and the voice resets to the default voice for the race, but I'm not absolutely certain. I'm playing on the PS3.

It happened to me too and since then I've found hundreds of people all over the internet who specifically stopped playing the game entirely because of this glitch until it gets patched. It's not a game breaking bug, but it is a game changing one and they should have fixed it immediately with a hot fix or something.

I played a female human with a british accent and it didn't change for me. I'm wondering if the bug only affects only one gender or a combination of gender and race. I hope they get it fixed soon.

From what I've heard default voices are British for human and elves and American for dwarves and qunari and this change, apparently changes the voice back to default, so that could explain why it didn't change for a British human Inquisitor.
I really want this glitch to be fixed. I've been avoiding talking to Varric for a while despite him being one of my favorite characters, because I'm waiting to see if this will be fixed. I don't want to do the Hawke mission, if there's going to be a way to stop my character from changing voices and still get a custom Hawke sometime soon down the line.

The biggest disappointment over this whole mess is that I haven't seen any feedback from EA or Bioware on any forum when it comes to a possible patch or fix for any major issue in the game, and there are a lot of issues.

This is the only one I've noticed so far that I really really want dealt with… although at one point Josephine slowly started to sink into the floor and disappear during a conversation
If nothing gets fixed in a few weeks, I guess I can just continue playing the game and pretend my Inquisitor was always American (though I really prefer the British voice). I'd rather have a custom Hawke than keep my Inquisitor's voice correct, if I must choose. However, it does really annoy me.

Just had this happen to me as well, was good through the conversation with Hawke, but as soon as I went to my first mission he started to sound like (And really no offense) a Brittish Dandy, complelty ruines the game honestly, I spent hours with my Inquisitor, building him up and working through sealing the rifts...for his voice to suddenly change because of some stupid bug...please fix this soon ![]()

As above, this is the one thing I've encountered that I'd love fixed sooner rather than later. It happened to me on Friday and I had to spend the weekend messing around with other things when all I really wanted to do was go hanging out with Hawke! :-D
Hoping some kind of hotfix patch or larger patch drops today, but given the hoop-jumping that patches on consoles requires, I'm not expecting it. Probably over Thanksgiving break when I won't have a chance to play. :-/

This...I've come across my share of game bugs, but I was indifferent to them/could roll with them. This has stopped me cold. Not quite the horror show that was ME3 launching with face importing broken, but a bummer nonetheless!

Anyone at bioware can give us even a vague eta? This bug happens on all platforms and out of ten attempts my voice changed each time.
Maybe I'll reroll in the meantime.

I also saw a tweet from Laidlaw who confirmed that they're aware of this as well and that a fix should be coming in a patch. That's all well and good but my question is WHEN? This bug has stopped story progression cold for so many people including myself, you'd think this should be a priority, but if I have to wait a month to see it fixed I might no longer have the will to play at all.Okay I found this:

Yeah, i just want to know when. I reverted to an earlier save and am knocking out some side quests but it'd be nice to spice things up with a story mission soon! Gahhhh. And I want to know what my super awesome Hawke has been up to!
I say everyone just keeps tweeting at them until they get on this.

I had the British voice for my Qunari so it bothered me when it went to American...LOL I hope they fix this soon because I can't bring myself to go further. Especially since I heard if you leave Skyhold it happens too.

They could add/patch in The Mirror of Transformation from DA2's Black Emporium, that would provide a way to fix this issue, and change your character if @ 40-50+ hours of playing you want a new look.

My elf's voice just went from American to British, after customizing Hawke.
This is my second play through, and I chose the American voice because my first had the British one. This play through is kinda ruined now.
I've read I that the workaround is to not customize Hawke. It sucks that I'd have to choose a "default" Hawke to retain my preferred voice. I don't like the way the default Hawke looks ![]()

Completely different game engine so that's not at all possible.
I'd love for them to implement something similar though. The CC lighting is so terrible that now I'm regretting my poor Qunari's makeup choices (also her voice changed and it's annoying. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the american voice but for this character I had specifically chosen for her to have the brittish one. It sounds more meek and she's supposed to be a goody goody meek type.)
