The "STORAGE CHEST" thread

In the meantime, a good way to store stuff, especially ability rings, is to use your unused companions as manikin.
Still, this is definitely the most immersion-breaking factor of the game for me.

I looked this topic up myself and tweeted mark darrah about it i allso found a site where someone wrote what one of the DAI devs said. That thaye noticed how many fans who are asking for a storage chest or where one is and it is a lot but they are focuseing on bug fixing patches at moment and don't know if or not a storage chest will be added affter a few patches.
What i think is from the amount of fans asking for storage he most likely will add it affter a few bug fix patches or in the first DLC. Most likely affter the patches but you could tweet them or message them on there sugestion page about getting a storage chest and that he saide he wants to have a good game for dragon age fans so he may do it.

What clutters the inventory is valuables that you carry around in case there's a quest relevant item among them.

I sell all of that, and have assumed that quest items, like in previous games, cannot be permanently sold and don't take up space.
Or do you mean that random valuable might end up being super-important?

I got a level 20 weapon at level 16 so yes this would be helpful.

I figure this will be introduced as new feature in a DLC pack.

Yes, quest-ish items are stored in the "valuables" section, and get sold along with all the other items in that category. Most of these items are used for research and requisitions. Its an awful design, but any item in your "valuables" inventory category which has a gold background/border is an item used in research, or requisitions, or some other side quest.

I'd like one for all the crafting materials, so I can dump it all by the forge and then access it when crafting new weapons or potions.

I'd like to have one specifically for this and crafted gear you can swap out.

They don't take up inventory space.

I find it really odd that there is no storage chest. We had it in Awakening and DA2, so why not in DAI?

Storage chest? The inventory is more than enough...

It gets worse later in the game, actually, when you start regularly scoring pickups of great equipment that you are a few levels away from using or accumulating belts of various resistances that you aren't inclined to use but might want to save for dragon battles. I've sold items because they were marked as valuables/non-research only to discover that I could have used them for a requisition that I got later in the game. Oy.
It's extremely frustrating, especially considering we went through this exact same thing with DA:O. Someone at Bioware really hates hoarding. :-D
Loving the game, but that's one element that disappoints.

Such limitations should NOT be present in ''almost'' open world game, the same goes for potion limit, imagine Skyrim with all those limits..

Oh God no... How else would I store all the random attire I strip off bandits?
I agree though.

Signed.
Absolutely no excuse for a lack of storage chest.

I endorse this thread. Please give us a storage chest (after you have addressed the bugs).

I add my vote as well.
Really hated to see how limited invertory is back mixed with lack of storage chest especially with that huge amount of junk that you can pick up in game.
I only hope they wont use this as excuse to add it to some 9.99 dolars DLC again...
