Are there any chance that we can have an option, maybe console command (or mod like DAO) to move the subtitle to the bottom?
I play the game close to the display and it's quite uncomfortable reading the subtitle that high.

I've had to turn subtitles off because their current position (as well as the 'smoky' background) interferes with my attempts to take clean screenshots of my Inquisitor. 
I do agree it is awkward positioning, and the size of the text makes it seem like it was meant to be read on a computer screen monitor only. I mean it is readable, but not for many unless they get close to their tv.

Another cool option (as in DAO mod again), be able to make the font larger. 
I sit close to kb+m and ~32" display. Jumping between conversation wheel and subtitle (at the top edge of the screen!) is a pain in the neck.
Really wish BioWare would consider this.
