MESSAGE POPULAIRE !

Why it it that we are diminished to running around Skyhold in the most generic, boring of outfits? In a game with such a powerful character creator, a game about creating the inquisitor you want, who the hell thought it would be a good idea to force us to wear what looks like drab pajamas?

Inquisitors in fantasy are almost universally badass, imposing figures. Here, we're dressed like a drab dandy and all sense of customization is ripped right out of us. Who cares that you can change the banners to your keep if the thing you spend the most time looking at (yourself) looks like a peasant with shiny buttons. Walking amidst people clad in the most awesome of armors (Leliana, Cullen, Cassandra) or people who sport trademarks (chesthair, bulging muscles, cleavage, etc.)

Why does all my companions get to be stylish and I have to run around in an embarrassing outfit that my inquisitor doesn't wear well? It looks like what you wear to bed (which he actually does a few times). Look at the slits on the sides of his hips, the way he wears his pants and his shirt. That's not how a nobleman would wear, let alone the leader of an Inquisition, a man who has everything to gain from looking imposing, and nothing from look regal (and this is NOT even regal). We are a leader. THE leader. We shouldn't be running around our keep in casual wear, ESPECIALLY not when we're dealing with the war room or passing sentence on prisoners. We should be imposing, intimidating. We are the freaking Herald of Andraste, not a two bit Kirkwall nobleman. This puts such a significant damper on the otherwise amazing experience of leader the inquisition.

Not to mention,

Spoiler

Once again, bioware puts the style of his npcs ahead of the player's who's relinquished to generic clothing. I'll never understand why they do this. Why do you deprave us of the joy of looking like the badass we ought to be?

Please fix this in a patch and allow us to wear our armor. Or allow us to buy a variety of clothing, much like you did in mass effect. Shepard had some casual wear, but he also had clothing that suited his position.

And for pete's sake make some options look worthy of an inquisitor?

Disclaimer: This was written very early, so I apologize if the complain is brash and haphazard. But it really does bother me. :(

I think that keep clothes are stylish; clear cut, fine material, fancy buttons. Early Renaissance at its best. Of course I'm in favour for more customisation.

I agree that the clothes are a bit annoying, but wall of text annoying?

Bravo.

It's interesting that after offering multiple casual apperances in the last two Mass Effect games they would take a step backwards and offer none.

That said I think the keep clothing is fitting.... on a male Inquisitor. The real problem in Inquisition (and every Bioware game ever made) is that all of the armor is designed for men and then shrunk down for women. It just looks stupid. Espically compared to your female companions.

Entirely concur. ESPECIALLY on a male Qunari...

As a human male, it bothers me greatly, as a huge fan of Sten and the Arishok, it would drive me f*ing berzerk to run around with that getup as a qunari.

Couldn't agree more. The choice to have boots of a color that clashes with the rest of the outfit was annoying as well. Not to mention it can't hide my male elf's baby shoulders and broken upper arms like the armors can.

Would you look at that! We're not alone:

Come on Bioware, stop treating your players like second rate npcs! :P

Couldn't they have allowed us to change the colour at the very least? It wouldn't be near as awful in black or navy...

At least let us change the color/material.

On some armor sets, the casual clothing is visible underneath and changes color depending on the material it's crafted with, so it can't be impossible.

(I want Silk or Royale Sea Silk for the shirt)

I agree, easily the worst part of the outfit is the white boots. I'd actually be ok with the outfit if it weren't for those stupid white boots that look like those fluffy boots women wear with leggings. I'd have preferred if they just let us keep our armor on. Honestly though, I am thoroughly unimpressed with most of the armor. The heavy armor in this game is just terrible. Hardly any variations at all. Mage armor is pretty decent though.

Actually I really like her outfit. Not so much the colours, but I'd rather garish colours than bland ones.

I'd honestly rather my Inquisitor run around naked with everything swinging from side to side as he ran rather than the ugly crap he is forced to wear.

I agree, I was thinking that we will have some great variety in armors/clothes, cuz the game is not mods friendly unlike older DA games, but sadly I was wrong..

No underwear options for both genders (why not, Skyhold is our home after all), no shirtless, no color customization and no outfits change in Skyhold?

If not just give us some more variations or something. And CC is also very limited with hairs and beards options...

I agree. I want a beard like Blackwall and not to mention his hair is so much better than the stuff I got to pick from... Blackwall is the character I wanted to be in game but it didn't happen.

I'm really not crazy about the Skyhold outfit either. It's too tight, and too colorless.

I could even deal with tight, so long as there was color.

They look okay, but the beige pajamas give male elves and dwarves some serious b*tch t*ts

It's a beige nightmare with too many damned buttons or sequins or whatever you want to call them. It's not just the color that bothers me - though I loathe beige anything, which DAI has in abundance. Clothing, armor, robes, everything.

If it was more like the Formal Outfit I'd be fine with it, since that looks somewhat military-yet-dashing.
