On a male qunari, it looks like his pecs are about to burst out of his shirt. :X

 

In all honesty, I don't understand why both the outfit in the keep and the formal outfit are so awful and look like they don't fit -- oh wait, yes I do. They were designed for human males first and then just adapted poorly for all the others. 

 

(Vaguely related but who thought it would be a good idea to have every single party member where that awful formal outfit at the ball? Vivienne looks so stylish normally and suddenly she's drab and wearing the same outfit as at least six other people? As if!)

My theory: In one of the Q&A streams, it was asked if the Inquisitor would have a casual outfit when walking around Skyhold. The developers responded, "Yes," and I believe it was at this point that they had a "Oh crap. We didn't actually design an outfit for this. Um... throw something together!" moment.

I'm hoping we see a mod or edit of some kind that just let's us wear our armor. In da2 they had one where it let you wear your armor in your estate instead.

yeah, i don't like that outfit but it is not a game changer for me.

 

it would be nice if they release a DLC for it and I would pay for it even though I usually don't buy DLCs like that.

I still don't understand why we are forced to change clothes in an environment anyway. Wouldn't it be easier just to let you wear whatever you have on? They could just throw some formal and civilan outfits into the inventory for the PC to change into for players who are into that sort of thing.

You'll be happy to learn that since this uses an engine that's an utter pain in the ass to mod and anti-tampering measures that'll shut down most of the ways the engine could be modded, pretty much nobody will be able to get mods.

 

So yeah, it'll boil down to DLC. Presumably paid.

Hopefully, after all the negative feedback on this and other things, Bioware will throw us a bone and make it a free DLC or even a patch. It's been known to happen.

With EA, I think it will be more down the lines of "Style Bundle #1 - 2 new hair styles (male human only), 3 weapon reskins and 1 more casual outift (humans and elves only) - only $9.99. Buy now!"

The inquisitor should at least wear armor on the throne. Shouldn't we look imposing when passing judgment? The pajamas make it look like the protagonist forgot their schedule and had to be called out of the shower to do their job. Jeez.

I haven't seen it beyond a screenshot yet, but what about a sashless Ball uniform as one of the HeadQuarters outfits? Looked pretty slick.

I don't think they have to go haywire. Just make a few outfits that look cool, throw in a few color schemes to pick from (that don't suck), and send it out as a free DLC.

Start describing some outfits (or link some pictures) and maybe Bioware will give in and start doing it, if they haven't already.

 

Otherwise, I'll just KILL CULLEN and take his outfit.

I am still early in the game and I thought that the whole Vivienne offer was something that would happen eventually. Now to see that apparently is not the case I am pretty pissed off that I am stuck with these crap ass PJs on my Male Rogue. 

 

I can tolerate them on my female elf because they essentially go along with the look I wanted for her. 

 

But for my male Rogue? 

 

I feel like my dude might as well have bunny slippers on and bed head. Because clearly he is still in his pajamas.

It's only because the rest of the game sets such an amazingly high customization standard that this is as disappointing as it is. I can craft a gazillion different variations of armor, but there's only one casual outfit? I can change the drapes in my castle but I can't change what I wear inside it?

i still dont understand why didnt they allow option for characters or at least your character to wear helmet etc. in cutscenes - simply an option to pick in settings, thats easy enough. I've seen bunch of videos before release them showing inquisitor talking in his cool helmet , as well as Cullen wearing his lion's helmet during Haven's finale. Playing this game makes you think Cullen doesn't have a helmet at all.

 

Well at least we have dracolizard mount of several colours and what not..

And multiplayer.

Nah....they look awful and don't fit properly on human males either...
