That offline and fast travel from war room thing has given me music in Val R! Maker it's incredible! Holy crap. 

 

Just tried it out myself and I've got music in Val Royeaux (sp?) as well. Tonight I wil try to see if this is a fix for all maps (musicwise) and if it cures the banter as well.

Doesn't seem to work for me, although I am FTing from the Haven war room as I haven't unlocked Skyhold yet.

I still have no Val R. music (on my mage save) but now i have war room music in Haven, lol.

 

On another note, i got 3 banters in 35 minutes while running around hinterlands, without any mount/dismount/rest.

Apparently, it doesn't work in Haven. you have to be in skyhold.

This might be the reason to the randomness for music and banters! We may not be noticing that we are traveling from the war room. But in the first place, I never had problem with banters. So I'm still not sure

Still in Haven so i cant try, however, is it possible that if you dont travel from the war table the game still thinks you're in Skyhold, which is why banther doesn't fire?

Maybe, but remember not everyone has the banter bug. Also, you can still try even if you are still in haven, the music in val might not work but check for the banters if it will fire

well so far i got 1 banther, which is 1 more than in my previous 4 hours of gameplay, also i hear music more often

tested this out with my 40+ hour file as my other has, probably, another 10 hours in it before skyhold at the least. went to skyhold, war table, fast travel from there to exalted plains and then from there to val royeaux. and...music!

dont know if this helps with banter, but i may try later on, would prefer it to be with my new playthrough though.

I'll wait for more feedback regarding this workaround(since I haven't reached skyhold yet). Aside from testing, I haven't properly played the game since tuesday and I'm itching to get back into it :/

Wow, I tried out this new fix and it seems it helped !

 

Origin----> Offline mode. I've had quite a few banters today :

 

Dorian-Cassandra

Varric- Cassandra

Dorian- Varric

 

Each one like 2-3 times.

 

And also Dorian's and Varric's remarks regarding battle/sight.

I don't know if offline mode has anything to do with it. I played without internet connection for 10 hours more or less, and still had the banter issue.

Offline mode fixed my zone music aswell, didn't notice any banter, but i've mostly played the same group forever, so banter may have dried out normally

Traveling back to skyhold will cause the drum roll glitch to fire though,

have this as well, plus there are areas with regular music in 3 minute-intervals now. Only works if i travel via war table exclusively, and no change in banter until now.

Yeah, seems to only work once you're at Skyhold. Not sure whether my banter is improved but I definitely have music in Val R now which is a first.
