Is there a code for Jacobs face?

The Undrtaker wrote...

As it stands, the best way to get a
face similar to Kelly's is to build it up in the editor. Kelly's face
is a pre-existing model, which means that it's not possible to pluck a
face code to give your Shep a face that looks like hers, or to even plug
in a face code to change Kelly's like how you could in Dragon Age.

If you read a few posts above before you posted  you would know, I already asked the same question.

But one more question. Is there any way to tell if there are any more hairstyles in the game than the 4 posted eariler in the thread? I understand how to get them on my PC all I need to know is if there is any other styles.

Aenea has no code though, since it's a direct import - although I made a character with the exact same facial structure:

Blush also has an "ME 1 import-only" color? That'd explain why my "recreation" was like 4 levels off... (I didn't think I'd changed it from what I wrote down back in ME 1)

Yeah (well at least the blush that I used - I used the 1st one from the left in the ME1 generator)... Although to be honest I can deal with makeup, hairstyles and scars being different... in fact I'm fully supportive of the hairstyles being slightly different, and the scars being gone, those things make perfect sense. But something genetically hardcoded like eye color?? Noooooo... 'tis a shame :(

She looks pretty good, btw you can pull the code from a Imported face using Gibbed Save Editor, if you load your save file and find the Face Code under the Raw Tab

In order to deal with the trolls and spammers, I've just added a report button which will flag a submission as needing my own approval.. and which will render most of its details hidden until I review it. However to prevent trolls from 'reporting' all the valid entries.. I've also added an "approve" button which only I can see and use.. which I'll set on all the valid submissions that I spot. So in the end, you guys will only be able to 'report' newish submissions that I haven't approved yet... so if someone decides to be an ass and report all the submissions he can.. the damage will be limited to the new ones.. and as soon as I review them I'll set them back to "valid" permanently if that's what they are.

Also... I think it's pretty cool that you guys have figured out how to alter the hair and other features of your characters in ways that Bioware had not intended.

If someone has a good understanding on these methods and has a little time, it would be cool if he could write a concise tutorial on how to do this exactly and then I could add it to my site so everyone could enjoy it without having to scramble around in these forums to get a good grasp on how to do it exactly.

I would of course mention your name and give you due credit for the tutorial.

Send me a message on these forums if you want to do this. Or better yet, send me an email by using the 'contact webmaster' link at the bottom of my site.

Cheers

Hey everyone! I would just like to say' vesperknight' I absolutely love the idea and site you have created for Mass Effect 2 faces. I know how frustrating it can be trying to create a good looking shepard and being able to see how others are doing and tweaking them slightly to fit your needs is so much easier than spending 3 hours staring at 2 different hair styles to decide which one you prefer. xD

I would be willing to write a tutorial on how to change the hair styles to a non-shepard hairstyle, but if you could tell me how much depth to go into it would be much appreciated. x)

Thanks for the feedback piraticalx!

For the tutorial, well it would be great if you undertook this task! I'd say.. make it as in-depth as you can while assuming basic windows knowledge on the part of your readers. It can always be improved and modified after it goes up on my site. Ideally it would help both users that just want to make a simple hair modification as well as users that want to tweak all the "tweakable" settings.

I can't say I understand anything about this process right now so I'm sorry if I'm being vague.. I have no idea just how much can be tweaked post-creation.. and I assume that with a little time you guys might even uncover more tweaks that can be made. I'd love to host those as I feel these type of modifications are in the same context as the principal content of my site.

Send me an email via the contact link once you have a draft you're happy with, then I'll try to use it and in the process I'll be able to see if anything's missing.

Thanks!

Well I just opened that Gibbed Editor thing and imported a save game, and it couldn't give me a face code for my import shepard (interestingly it did give me the code for a custom version which wasn't the same). I've noticed this before. When you play the game on the 1st level, if you look at your squad screen you see a face ID - except that's just the ID for whatever was in the custom face section, regardless of whether you selected that face or your import face. While a code appears there (or in the Gibbed editor) that code will never correspond to your face if it's a direct import.

How do you apply these to Shepard?

1) Open savegame with an editor.
2) Go to Raw tab.
3) Go to Player > Appearance > Morph Head
4) Change Hair Mesh to one of the hat meshes listed on the last page.
5) If applicable remove all entries that start with HAIR_ under Texture Parameters.
6) Save the changes.

If you want to dig around in coalesced.ini and make changes without CTD you need this:

Hi everyone.
I tried making Liv Tyler and I've already posted the results on the database. I just wanted to share what I put together and show some comparison shots. It looks like her chin depth needs to be altered to make it a teensy bit more prominent. And I don't think I picked the right eyes but at the time of creation, all the other eyes looked so small. Whoops.

Do these codes include the non standard hair modifications somehow? And if so, do they work on the 360?

Unfortunately they don't.  I tried recreating a face from a page or two back, the one posted by XXXShephard, on my Xbox and her hair was just a standard option.  I tried substituting numbers/letters in that particular slot but nothing seemed to work.  Xbox users are left out unless they offer them as DLC or something.  :(

If you haven't read the previous page, the hair from XXX only works with the PC Version via modding the hair codes using Gibbed Save Editor. Sorry X360 users.

Have you tried sorting by rating? That should give the cream of the crop as far as what this limited creator can produce

Did anyone try this one?  Least on the xbox version, mine didn't come out anywhere near like this one when I used the code.

This particular Shepard is based off of Mark Vanderloo.

It wasnt that hard to make actually.
