wow! this is awsome! nice work! but how would i use those "character face creation codes?" if i like to test some faces out in game?

I can't seem to edit the character I submitted because I want to add links to more screenshots but a message comes up saying the email I entered was incorrect without giving me the chance to enter an email. Whats wrong here?

Any chance to make the Morph Features works with the Gibbed's Save Editor ?



I'm referring to : Player -> Appearance -> Morph Head -> Morphs Features

Mass Effect 1 doesn't have the facecode system, so no luck there. If you want to try recreating ME2 faces for ME1, you'll want to ask/remember the settings so you can input it manually.

So, there are those custom hairs for females, but... are there any for males? I see on the faces site someone uploaded a male Shepard with a mohawk. Is the code used the same for the female?

@Poptart Hyena: No it's a male mohawk, hidden inside BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R. It's was hell trying to find the references but it was worth it. I really don't get why the devs ditched the hairmesh choices on the male side. Will post a tutorial if anyone's interested.

I'm having an odd issue and I don't know if this is something known/explained, but I figure I'll post here since it concerns face codes. I did a very thorough face customization way back when I played ME1 for my male shep. I keep the face for most of my main playthroughs, but with ME2, while it gives me the code, whenever I punch the code in when I create a new game [if I want to fuss around with settings] it never looks like how my imported Shep's face looks - are there some faces that don't translate perfectly from ME1? Anyone had that issue too?

When you go into your "squad" menu, it will show your character's face code there :)

1. Follow steps 1-6 of the female tutorial at masseffect2faces.com (with a custom male character)

2. Paste: "BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Mohawk.HMM_HIR_Mhk_MDL" (without quotation-marks!) in the field Hair Mesh.

3. Scroll down to Texture Parameters and open it. Now we begin the paste fest...and remember: NO quotation-marks!

4. Each parameter has a value attached to it. I am simply going to rack em up to avoid tedious repetition. Just paste away.

HED_Scalp_Diff ---> Value ---> BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Mohawk.HMM_HIR_Mhk_Scalp_Diff

HED_Scalp_Norm ---> Value ---> BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Mohawk.HMM_HIR_Mhk_Scalp_Norm

HED_Scalp_Spec ---> Value ---> BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Mohawk.HMM_HIR_Mhk_Scalp_Mask

5. Ok you're done with the scalp texture, but stay in the Texture Parameters section. We need to add the 3d mesh:

6. Add a new parameter (bottom left button in Texture Parameters) with the following data:

7. Name: HAIR_Diff
Value: BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Mohawk.HMM_HIR_Mhk_Diff

8. (Repeat #6)
Name: HAIR_Norm
Value: BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Mohawk.HMM_HIR_Mhk_Norm

9. (Repeat #6)
Name: HAIR_Mask
Value: BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Mohawk.HMM_HIR_Mhk_Mask

10. (Repeat #6)
Name: HAIR_Tang
Value: BIOG_HMM_HIR_PRO_R.Mohawk.HMM_HIR_Mhk_Tang

11. Unless i failed miserably on making my self clear, there should be 16 Texture Parameters all in all, ending with "HAIR_Tang".

12. Hit the OK-button to exit Texture Parameters section. For optional/additional color tuning, check the Vector Parameters section ("HED_Hair_Colour_Vector" & "blonde" values)

13. Save it and have fun!
