It makes perfect that he disapproves, since his big focus is on the fate of his people and culture, and it ties into his reason for not wanting to couple up with anyone other than an elf. You can tell by how he argues to Varric about not fighting back and trying to preserve the culture of Orzammar. Although, I don't suppose it should much matter, since Sera is not interested in males anyway.

So what does Solas say if you are a male Lavellan ? You only have human females as choices.

Vivienne is the one that disapproves most of my choice and she's a pain in the a**. I guess you can't please everyone.

Solas hates me and i hate him he he was a ***** when i said i was romancing sera with my female elf then disapprove of every decision I made including my decision to gain the knowledge of our people  then i punched before the final battle and said good ridance

Totally. I actually love this dude. What's funnier is that I really, really like Cassandra and I never thought that would happen. This girl is Scorpion with that throwing sword, bring people to her attack.

Hmm he doesn't care that I'm an elf romancing a human male... And he calls me friend and what not, and approves of 90% of the decisions I make.  Maybe he just thinks I'm a lost cause when it comes to furthering the elven peoples.

That's odd. I've only had favourable approval ratings across the board with him. I'm playing a human mage.

I mostly loved woman companion in DAO/2 Solas is the first male that really got my attention. Also in DAI males are more interesting in general like Iron Bull for instance.

Oh? Everything I do Solas approves of. Cassandra and Vivienne seem like they're the hardest to please, but my elf is still very good friends with them. Then again I also reload if I get a GREATLY DISAPPROVES from anyone until I can minimize the approval loss. Then I shamelessly say things to make them happy, even if I don't mean it. It's Morrigan and Sten all over again.

Ya, Solas is easy. All u have to do is ask him questions.

I really, really liked Solas. He's one of the most interesting characters in the game, especially later on. I've actually made a new character just to see the romance with him.
