Yeah Solas and Sera really don't mix.  Sera has severe dislike for magic (all of it) and elves (or rather elven identity).  Solas is very much into both.  So yeah, surprise.  They do connect on the 'freedom' and 'jerks need to pay' part.  Unless the freedom is for the mages, then Sera goes ballistic.

Solas was basically my unexpected BFF for my first playthrough. But I'm kind of wondering if maybe it wasn't a little bugged/weird.

Unless this is really a racial difference (since, if I recall this correctly, Qunari belief holds that they cannot/don't enter the Fade when they dream/have dreams?) but Fem!Trevelyan got this great scene where they popped off into the Fade and walked around Haven and

Male!Adaar can only ask Solas about Corypheus. "How about that loser, Corypheus?" '...We've talked about this so many times, Adaar. Honestly.' Granted, I did haul him around about 80% of the time in my previous playthrough (but that doesn't explain to me why those very early differences are present except race/gender/bug?) and I dropped him like hotcakes for Dorian this time.

Solas is just a big fluffy goofball full of love and sweetness....cough.... anyway, I was planning on romancing Blackwall because he seemed sweet and earnest. But before I knew it Solas invited me into the fade and gave me such a sweet kiss...

we are getting along really well! On the other hand I can't STAND Sera and i am not a big fan of Viv either. I do like Varric more then in DA II, mainly because hes so sweet towards Hawke and for some reason I can talk better to him now than then.

I just gained Cole in my pty and I must say that I like him really much, and can't wait to learn more of him.

And cullen is so sweet for my inquis

The only parts where I thought he was an ass were when he opposed Morrigan drinking from the well but yelled at me for drinking it instead and when he said he'd explain something to me later but her never did. And left with the awesome gear I had put on him <.<

Which is why my Lavellan couldn't stand her until later on. I'm running a F!Trevalyen right now with a more goofy personality, so I'm hoping it was just how my Lavellan reacted to Sera that made me dislike her so intensely... Chances are though I'll never keep her in the party, she made me want to punch things for the first half of the game until she finally revealed she was vulnerable.
