With so many of us (myself included) taking our time with this game instead of rushing through, I thought it might be a good idea to make topics based on specific main quest sections, so that we can discuss them and enjoy the back-and-forth that comes with that, without spoiling the rest of the game!
So... with that said, I loved it!
The whole section was so filled with lore and really innovative gameplay. It was the kind of section you could only find in a BioWare game. Though I'd avoided coverage of story and character material before the game came out, between Morrigan's appearance in The Last Court and Jessica Merizan's Morrigan gown on the BioWare blog, I figured she'd show up.
Even so, when Leliana started talking about an apostate who she'd had dealings with before, I got excited. Who else could it be, after all? And then that moment of "Well, well, what have we here?" gave me chills. I love that I got court approval for being snarky and calling out the guests. The VAs really sold it wonderfully.
I admit I was slightly disappointed when I saw Josephine (and then the other females) in the same uniform as male Inquisitor and Cullen, thinking they would have gone the dress route as they did for Stolen Memory, but as a universal Inquisition uniform I suppose it worked quite well.
Who did you take along? Cassandra/Dorian/Vivienne seemed the natural choices for me and they didn't disappoint.
Oh and the liason... That moment drove in once how wonderful and unique this game is, despite the bugs and minor annoyances that will be fixed anyway.
I guess this is mainly just fan gushing without any real analysis (yet), but to me it was like the Citadel DLC incorporated into the main story. Simply perfect.
