If you find a veilfire spot, there is a rune recipe near. Use a veilfire torch to reveal it.

Got the location of some good ones? Got the frost, lightning, demon and dragon slaying, cleansing rubes, Missed the one in the temple in the forbidden oasis tho. Apparently, once you activate all the torches, can't get a veilfire torch there anymore.
