The fact people call Skyrim interesting proves to me, that tastes vary so much. I just couldn't finish it. I tried. I really did. But I found it boring. That's okey though, for there are games for everyone out there, right? Since I didn't like the game enough I never took the initiative to go and post it on their forums. A part of me still hopes people who complain find some enjoyment in the game, for that is why they are here. And the reason I have this hope is, that I think sold copies numbers decide wether there are more games to come or not, and I want more games. I know, pretty selfish of me.
It is difficult if you encounter a bug, being patient when all you want to do is play, sucks. I know, I had a bug too and it was not welcome by me. But I also reminded myself, the fact mods don't pamper us all the time with updates might be due to the fact that they are occupied with dealing with the bug instead of dealing with me. I prefer the first over the second. Though as a player it is difficult to wait it out.
And lastly, this question is not entirely in topic, but it is eating me for a while now. What is a good RPG game for you guys? What makes it worth of playing? Would you actually buy a BG style of game in this century? Would you play 60+ euros for it? I wonder that, because, I would, but I also see how people complained about the Warden not being voiced, about the quality of the facial expression and the motions not being smooth enough. About the game being too well developed (technical requirements aren't that cheap a thing) and too under developed (could have better motion/expression/detail...). So what would you like the most, if gaming industry went what direction? Presently it is clearly the looks where we are headed with all the games that are released or awaiting release and with the new consols. Is there a market niche, I wonder, for more text based games? Is that really where we want to head? It would certainly solve the waiting 3 years for a game aspect. I am just wondering, I am not familiar with actual market analysis data. Your 2 cents?
