Tip: How to reduce your frustration with the game by 90% (the 10% left is still so hugiganormous that makes me wants to suicide but that 90% reduction thing really helped)

Get to Skyhold as soon as possible after doing all the quests in Haven and talking with companions. I mean, do it all, do not rush BUT focus only on the main storyline until you get to Skyhold. I'd suggest Prologue -> Get Horses -> Orlais -> Side with Mages/Templars -> Get all companions available -> Get to level 9~11 (depending on difficulty level) -> GET SKYHOLD NOW

Then my pretty little thing you can do ALL the boring open world stuff except that it will be a lot less boring and a lot more open, I mean REALLY open

And you will enjoy your specializations a lot, so be happy. Getting to skyhold by level 9 (my current playthrough) leads to a much better experience than getting there at level 14 (my first playthrough)

I would get there by level 1 if it was possible, after my first run I am sure that the game starts at Skyhold

The truth is that Bioware trolled us all with that title thing to make you think that you were done with the prologue. No matter what you do if you did not get to Skyhold you are still doing the prologue, that is not act 1, that is like you origin in DAO or leaving Lothering in DA2. Perhaps before Skyhold should be considered the loading screen, it fits better.

So the real tip is not "LEAVE HINTERLANDS!11!" or whatever it is GET TO SKYHOLD NOW, if you're playing for more than 1 second and you still did not reach Skyhold, well, you are VERY late.

However I still do all the little quests in Haven and talk to my companions after every minor event just to check before leaving, I don't want to leave anything behind, but there is no point in staying there after you reach level 9 (casual, normal)
