Way to make up a saying that doesn't even exist....

But hey whatever justifies your behavior, right? I don't know how you were taught as  a child but no amount of years will take away that basic sense of manners never mind maturity.

That is a shame, I cannot help you if you have no wish to learn, tis a fool who thinks he knows everything and shelters his mind from true wisdom.

The ability to realize that maturity is overrated is in itself a form of maturity, it is a truth that only the truly mature can know.

I have met some heroine adicts and the image of the "lyrium kit" put a chill on my spine for obvious reasons.

As have I, and it was fairly recent. I agree. It is chilling to see the shadows of an awful problem like that again.

The only scene that made me sad or at least not happy was killing my first dragon. It didn't get any easier since I've killed 8 more and now I'm hunting for the tenth one.

That was not the only scene, but I really appreciate it how brutal and sad the last few moments of these fights are. Dragons are majestic creatures in this world (godly even) and killing one of them should have an impact on you. Big kudos to the animation team for making you see and feel that.

Maybe I'm alone here, but

Spoiler
was actually pretty sad to me.

The only thing that threw me off is that he looked too pink for someone died of losing too much blood.

And that scene was really poorly storyboarded. Nothing looked even remotely dangerous, nor did there appear to be any reason for leaving Hawke behind. It isn't even clear how Hawke was killed in that scene, or if he even was. Too be quite frank that scene would have been a huge disappointment from a lesser developer, coming from Bioware it was even more disappointing.

Exactly. The scene of Grunt in ME3 throwing himself against a dozen enemies in attampt to save your ass from Rachini scene was much better

Cole personal quest made me a little misty eyed.  He was just so angry and sad and confused and... gah.  Ko, there may have been sobbing and screen petting and desperate attempts to hug the monitor....  It got better at the end though, except him tripping after Varric was adorable enough to make me all blubbery again.

I didn't really feel bad about sacrificing Hawke as I had no real emotional attachment to him.

One thing that made me a bit misty eyed was...well, I had an inkling that Cole was doing all these weird things for a good reason but I ****** lost it at the turnips part.

Also, I romanced Solas so, yeah, many tears to be had on this end. That last scene was so great though because whether you choose to be sad, guarded, or just plain angry about it all hits in the feels.

To sum it all up, Patrick Weekes took my heart, stomped on it and I love him for it.

Dorian's personal quest. Queer myself, and my relationship with my parents weathered the coming out process, but ohhhhh gooddddddddddd it dragged my feels through a nailpit, especially when Dorian dropped the F-bomb in his rage. It's just such an unDorian thing to do, totally losing control in pure anger like that and I... loved it... and bawled.

The family reunion between Morrigan, Kieran, and Flemeth got the feels going. So did Dorian's encounter with his father and the revelation his dad tried to "blood magic the gay away".

There was also a banter between Cassandra and Cole about her brother that plucked my heartstrings something fierce.

Oh, and lest I forget, Cole confronting his killer.

There's a lot of sad with Cole. I think only Cassandra can out sad him, but she's too tough to show it most of the time.

Cassandra's voice cracking when she asks the Inquisitor if he thinks the Maker wanted all those people to die at the Conclave. For someone whose will is usually so ironclad it was a rare moment of vulnerability (and honestly, may not even have been in the script but a great VA performance) which eventually led me to her softer side and from there the romance.

The scene where Morrigan

Spoiler

I also found that first dialogue with Leliana to be emotionally impactful as she struggles through a crisis of faith caused by mourning over Justinia's death.  Most times Bioware didn't seem to handle death well in the context of the story, but this time, they showed something being impactful through most of the game and I felt this was an aspect very well done in the narrative this time.

Outside of a couple scenes, Hawke's reaction to death of loved ones in the game was limited.  Justinia's death impacted the game is such a way as everyone responded (in so many varied ways) to it in a realistic depiction of the process of grief.

Finding out that Regalian was at the Conclave

Sacricing Alistair for Hawke, especially since Hawke just goes to Weisshupt afterward. Shame, it would've been amusing since Alistair, Fiona, Morrigan, Kieran and Flemeth (kinda) are family. Talk about a soup opera

Sooo... Spoilers, inc.

The scene after Morrigan drinks from the Well and her son goes into the Eluvian, then he meets Flemmeth. Just how desperate Morrigan was to stop her son from getting to Flemeth and how lost she felt was devastating.

Oh, and the Hawke death aftermath. I didn't think too much of it, yeah it sucked, but we NEED the Gray Wardens. Then I saw Varric.

I am so, so sorry Varric. I'll make it up to you, I promise.

Singquisition scene. Fabulous. My wife was bawling next to me on the couch.

Have to admit, teared up at the end when my Quis turns to the party one last time and everyone is there smiling. Yeah, I'll play this game many times over but there's only first and that was my team!

I really have to agree and it's kind of surprising in a way since that death was very "minimalist", I suppose. It wasn't some big dramatic death scene like Boromir from Lord of the Rings. He was severely injured in one scene and then the next time we see him he's just gone.

I'm not sure if I should put the Boromir thing in spoilers or not considering he's played by Sean Bean. I swear that man is a walking spoiler.

People like you does make me ponder what the age range of people are on these forums. We toss words without thought and to comfort our own insecurities.

But hey it's a forum, right? We can act like fools anytime.

How about we put a real face on this scene?

http://www.reddit.co..._his_heartfelt/

Ignore him, Mr. Broisvet. You achieved the purpose of that scene. I loved it.

Watching this scene on youtube made me buy the game.  I just wish I could play it without lag, going to try to fix that today when I install Windows 8.1...

but anyway, beautiful scene.  I'm a huge Cullen fan, have been since the Circle Tower, and this scene was awesome.  It was a beautiful song.  Reminded me of Leliana's song in DAO which I still fondly remember, it was the turning point for me on liking her in DAO and this song, as I said, is the reason I didn't wait to purchase the game.

It took me 15 minutes to make a darn decision, the wardens needed Stroud, but Hawke dying - I could only imagine how sad Varric would be, so sorry Stroud.

Now watching this... I'm glad my Hawke didn't die, would have torn me, especially with Varric's reaction.

Nothing in Inquisition made me come close to "teariness" and *braces self for fallout* I got very teary at the end of Mass Effect 3 when Shepherd and Anderson made it to the citadel, and then that marvelous stripped back piano version of the theme plays as you see the soldiers fighting on earth and Joker racing away in the Normandy.

The most touching moment however was Cole's personal side quest in my opinion.
Other than that the game made me smile a hell of a lot.
Busting Cassandra with the smutty book, giving her the newest edition with Varric, drinking with Iron Bull and Sera asking Cassandra about her underwear. I loved the characters but I never felt that any of them (including inquisitor) were in any kind of peril.

The fight against the reapers in ME felt like a desperate struggle from beginning to end. In Inquisition everything post- Orlesian Ball (and even before that really) you get the sense that you are pretty much steam-rolling Corypheus and all his plans, the final mission is literally explained to you as "Well he's beaten and we've won but he's not going to accept defeat and so is throwing all his toys out the pram in one final act of defiance".

Even when i killed off my Hawke I didn't really give two hoots and it seemed like the sensible thing to do to keep Stroud around to rebuild the "in tatters" Grey Warden Order. Hawke got on my nerves throughout DA2.  I prefer my inquisitor and my warden.
