I had to choose between hawke and stroud.
How'd you end up with hawke and alistair?
Import a keep save where Alistair isn't king and is still with the wardens

Two scenes with Solas - one, as I see Skyhold for the very first time, and another, well... That Scene.
The scariest and the saddest moment, though, was with Flemeth. As I used my "history" option to say "Hey, I know who you are!", she answered - one day someone will summarize the terrible events of YOUR life so quickly. And knowing that DA4 would probably come... and Solas romance would be gone forever... ouch. That hurt.

Nothing really hit that hard.
Some things made me laugh though.
Like Iron bulls stuff.

There were plenty of really sad, beautifully moving scenes in this game, but not one that made me cry (which surprised me, as I'm very quick to cry when upset). My favourites were everyone singing The Dawn Will Come, Varric helping Cole to become more human, Cullen struggling with and eventually overcoming his lyrium addiction, Blackwall's reaction to the Inquisitor forgiving him, and the whole Fade sequence. Maybe I might have cried if it was a choice between Hawke and Alistair, though, because I couldn't have let Alistair die, even though Varric would be heartbroken at losing Hawke. ![]()

Morrigan's arc was pretty touching.

When my Hawke walked onto the scene and battled at my side. Then when she left and you have the conversation with Varric about the mission. That song from DA2 played and I totally hit the feels
It was great.
Morrigan's whole presence as well as Leliana's. I loved having them back. Leliana broke my heart until the end and she was her old Origin self again. Seeing Morrigan and her family reunion with Flemmeth and her son was big too.
Getting letters from King Alistair on the War Table. His personality was laced through them and was wonderful.

Oh yeah, that hit right at home.
It hurts even more if you talk to him, seeing Dorian break down a bit and realizing, in his own way, he is just like his father in many respects.

I didn't cry one drop in this game, and I am so happy about it you don't even know. I do feel that the Solas romance was beautiful and it gave me lots of feels worthy of crying, but that love story ain't over so I will retain my eye moisture for the moment.

The scene that made me cry was in the mage quest.
I took Cassandra and Solas with me to confront Avernus. The whole time warp thing happens and we're standing before the doors. A massive demon army waits outside. They share a last look.
Solas's expression is tormented, knowing what he has to do, followed by resolution. His look is responded by Cassandra's with calm acceptance, the calm of a soldier knowing his time has come to make the ultimate sacrifice.
I sobbed VERY HARD during that scene and, for a moment, the characters were VERY REAL to me. I usually have no reaction playing videogames, it's very hard for anything to move me, but that scene broke down my barriers. When I left that alternate future, I was burning with resolution to kill the real Avernus and set things right. I'd do ANYTHING to avoid allowing THAT future to come true.
The game stopped to be just a fantasy lore for me right there. Also, having to cope with Cullen's addiction problems and Dorian's argument with his father. You did this for you! For your ****** legacy! Unforgettable lines, unforgettable scene.

There were moments that had a lot of emotional resonance, including Roderick's dialogue while he was dying, or things like the Revelations quest (of course I was going to get a bit emo over my LIk heh), and even some of the banter/dialogue with the companions. I really wanted to give Cole a hug after hearing about everything that happened - poor kid.
EDIT: Also, regarding Hawke v. Stroud, I was never more glad that Alistair and my Warden are ruling over Ferelden (although she's off doing her thing atm) than I was after finding out that the choice was Alistair v. Hawke if you kept Alistair as a Warden. I feel like I really dodged a bullet on that one.

Not one for sentiment, but I will say the scene that got to me was: If your in a romance with Cullen and talk to him in the Skyhold
Chapel.
Not my character in the following video, but I DID chose the same options which made the scene so amazing and heart felt.
Also I thought the scene between Morrigan, Flemeth and the old god child was well done too.

Mother Giselle leading "The Dawn Will Come." It make me tear up just just thinking about it. Watching everyone come together in song around my bewildered Inquisitor. .

Hey, don't sweat it.
When it comes to scenes that are intended to be emotional, we're well aware that it won't connect the same way with everyone. I think there's a certain level of cynicism, pretended or otherwise, that seems to go along with this kind of response...but so what? Some people are cynical. Some people just weren't feeling it. Some people weren't in the mood when it happened. Whatever.
So long as we know it touched some people (and in this case many people), we're good. Honestly. No need to argue on our behalf--it's too bad they didn't enjoy the scene, but arguing with them isn't going to make them enjoy it more, is it?
Honestly, I always loved everythings you wrote, books as game contents, but I think "Nature of the Beast" (for exemple) made me cry more than everything in Inquisition. I don't mean it's bad or anything. I really enjoy Inquisition's story, but I feel like it miss something important. :/ Inquisition hasn't REAL epic emotional scenes as we could remember in few years I think.
(PS: Sorry for my bad English ! I'm Orlesian~

Oh yea, I remember that - lots of emotion when that song started up.
I love my Hawke. I almost threw a shoe when she "disappeared" again in the epilogue.

Seeing Skyhold for the first time was pretty awesome. It also has one of the nicest score from the lot as well.

I sacrificed Hawke just to see what the scene was like, and that made me cry like a little baby. I love my canon Hawke and that scene was too much, especially when she said 'Sorry, Fenris.' right before attacking the freakish spider monster and then Varric's reaction afterwards oh god why BioWare
. Promptly reloaded and sent Stroud to 'likely die'.
The Dawn Will Come scene had me tearing up until Cullen made... that face. Loved everything else about it, though.
I'm about to start my Solas romance playthrough and from what I've read -and the fact I tear up way too easily- I foresee tears in my near future, so that counts too I guess.
