I've reached Skyhold with around 7K gold in my pocket.

Any advice on what you all spend your gold on?

I can't decide, and I already have a couple T2 armor schematics, so Buying more doesn't seem that wise.

Any suggestions here would be great

Well, I made the "mistake" of getting the 10k mystery box, and living with that. Otherwise, yes, most of my money goes towards schematics.

One interesting thing that does show up at some point is an "influence vendor." I'm not certain if its a -great- use of money, but if you're hurting for more perks, they can get you there.

Nothing much, really. I have more money than things to spend it on. I can't even use it to upgrade Skyhold, talk about frustrating.

What's in the box? What's in the box?!!!

I was about to buy it a few days ago, but somehow I felt I would require the coin to build a great piece of armor, but I never found such armor.

That mystery box, I resisted it.   When I got to Skyhold I bought some blank runes (I was looking all over for those) and a few mounts.  Because harts and horsies. :D

I never seem to need to buy anything so I'm curious about what I should be buying.  The armor and weapon crafting system is a bit to complex for my liking. I just stick with Alchemy and keeping my jars of bees up.

I've only bought one thing, despite my considerable bags of gold.

I bought the Silkdart dagger from the Crestwood merchant.

Regret. The box is full of so much regret.

But yeah, having toyed around with crafting, I definitely feel schematics are a good thing to get.

Only thing I've spent money on are a couple of respec amulets and loads of contracts from the influence vendor. I like perks, after all, and it's not like anyone else had anything I wanted to buy. .

There's a vendor in Val Royeaux that sells Skyhold decorations (Drapes, Beds, Windows.)  It's pretty easy to chew through 10k-20k unlocking all those options.

He's outside the stables across from Skyhold's other merchant.

It may be best not to use belts that add extra potions, tonics, or grenades. One appears to need a refill every time after restocking flasks, even if a potion was not used previously.

Yep, bit buggy that. I stopped using them after a while. I found a belt thats +2 to grenades (or potions, can't remember which), really wanted to use it but didn't because of that bug.
