My characters in games are characters in games. They're not me. They (usually) don't look like me, they don't act like me, they don't represent me in any way.

Not certain if serious, but playing as another gender (or orientation) doesn't mean you want to be that.

 

Have you ever heard of Kinsey?  Most of us aren't flip a switch one or the other.

the main reason i want to play a woman is that i find non of the women hot so i might as well make a hot woman.

^Also, many straight guys would prefer to play as a woman in third person games as they would rather stare at a chick's ass (and other anatomical features) than a guy's.

I can't be bothered to watch so tell me what the premise and argument were. I play female characters because I want to experience how it's different, from character interaction to voice acting. Even if it's in your head you can get different dynamics if you have characters such as siblings as in DA2.
