Im wanting to know which to go with for a archer spec rogue? Tempest, Assassin, or Artificer? I just got to skyhaven and am wanting to know which is best for my ranged attacks? So I can utilize the class to its fullest.
Im thinking tempest and specting down the fire flask side. But idk if tempest is the best pick. Ive read forums talking about them all but I havent been able to see anyone talk much about archers and which is the best over all for the class. Any help would be great.

I've played tempest and assassin.

Tempest - added focus on elixirs and flasks as a means to dominate the battlefield, both melee and ranged. Fire flask lets you spam moves, as it removes cooldown while it is active and then, by switching immediately to another flask (lightning, if you're an archer) you do extra damage. Lightning works like Haste, slowing down time, which helps get on an elevated spot, go for flanking or use Sleep/Poison/Stun based abilities to set up for higher damage. Fire Flask and Lightning Flash both also help with basic attacks and increase the damage. Ice isn't useful for Archers.

Assassin - More 'Rogue' like gameplay. With a focus on Stealth to maximise crit damage. It has a neat skill that removes cooldown on Stealth whenever you kill something, which means you can use your Thousand Cuts, Full Draw and Long Shot with an immediate crit via Stealth, to do 1500+ damage on any target. This is enough to outright kill low-armour (Mages, Wraiths for example) with one shot. It also has Mark of the Assassin which absolutely destroys boss and high-armour enemies, with potential to deal 2500+ dmg.

In short, Tempest works like a Rogue-Warrior with a focus on field control and spam, while Assassin is based on Stealth, Crit Damage and DPS.

Tempest is great for closing rifts.

Just pop Flask of Lightning with Quicksilver once a new wave has spawned, and you can disrupt the rift in your time bubble without being interrupted.

Since closing rifts is the only thing that you need your Inquisitor for and which can't be handled by companions, I think Tempest is a great choice.

If you want to double hit enemies with every talent for 40 seconds, go artificer, but that is really all that is useful in that tree unless you enjoy laying traps which if you get a bottle neck, throw a couple traps in front of blackwall using draw the line or what ever it is and take some heat off him.

I heard Tempest archer can go insane damage with Flask of Fire by spamming Leaping Shot at close range (the trick not available for tactical mode). But now I'm satisfied with my Cole's Assassin archer (yeah I also respec Sera to be Tempest dual daggers for the lol) who deal great damage with Mark of Death > Stealth > anything combo. If you go Assassin archer, I don't recommend getting Hidden Blades since it consumes lots of stamina + long cd, just go with Stealth > Leaping Shot + Long Shot and you will still get 1,800% dmg. By level 12-13 you will be the best initiator and burst damage.

I have my inquisitor as 2H off-tank Templar who can do good burst dmg in short time frame (Spell Purge combo, as good as Full Draw) which can get along with archer Cole's Mark of Death. If possible, get skills that can stack armor penetration/reduction/surder for hard boss fights.

Tempest feels awesome. Alternating between slowing time down, ice armor and cancellng abilities cooldown makes up for a great and unique gameplay that feels like what always wanted from a ranged Rogue.
Also, Fire Flask + Focus ability is the most broken feature in the game, just saying.

Artificer Archer here!

Hail of arrows is great for boss killing. Crazy damage if used with stealth and full draw.

But my favourite skill is Elemental mines. May not be the best for 'Uber builds', but my lord it's so much enjoyment using it. And I tend to play to have fun, not to create the best, highest DPS build.
