I'm not sure where to post this thread, I'm fairly new here and to forums in general.
I want to contribute this tidbit, I know many have brought up the annoyance that many of the graphics options give you a popup that a restart is required to see the changes, I think that the popup is a bug.
I haven't tested everything, but so far I have been able to test AO and shadows in game and take screenshots to show the change happening on screen as well as any performance hit.
TL:DR. Not every graphic setting needs a restart even if it says so, the bug is the popup itself.
