So I've been playing at the Winter Palace for hours now and I'm not making much progress. I've run out of evesdrop points, have only found one of the halla statues, have yet to locate a single caprice, and my court approval is only at 71. And I really, really want to move forward beyond just being at this ball. Could some kind soul out there help me?

I can tell you where to find most Halla statues, but regarding Caprice coins, continuously tap ''explore'' when you move around the palace.

Oh yes, and never reveal too much in conversations or agree too readily if you want your court approval to stay up. Sarcastic remarks are much appreciated.

I must be doing something wrong then, because most of that stuff is behind locked doors. How do I get in?

Have you entered the Servants Quarters yet? If not, climb up the wall in the Garden (with the fountain where you can deposit your caprice coins). You'll find a Halla statue to your right and the library straight ahead.

I already used that statue to open another door (the one up the wall to the left of the library) and it just lead to a small room with next to nothing in it. I'm guessing I'll just have to start the whole quest over again in order to get into some of these rooms. Sooooo frustrated!!!

And did you explore the library? Because you're definitely not stuck, as a matter of fact I used the very same statue on that room to get in. In retrospect probably not a good idea as the room contains nothing valuable, but it's not a reason to restart.

For the main quest it's basically Library -> Ball room -> Servants Quarters -> Ball room -> Royal Quarters -> Ball room.

Be sure to run through the palace after every ball room exchange because some whisper areas and caprice coin areas respawn all over the place.

Still not finding the keys to these areas. And I'm holding down the search button everywhere I go, loosing approval in court because I keep sweeping the library for one, and am just plain frustrated. I should have progressed in this quest a million years ago, and am about to give up on the game altogether.

Save your game before you explore the area, slowly but surely scan everything, if you don't find a thing, reload your game and no approval will be lost.

Regardless, just use a guide if you're completely stuck.

I suppose you may have not found the cylinder seal if you're sure you explored the entire library. The cylinder seal can be found on a balcony which you will run into if you climb down from the library to the garden area, head through the door back into the palace and move straight ahead. You will run into a trio of imperial guards blocking the door, the balcony is to your right. The cylinder is a hidden item on the balcony.

You're not supposed to find the key to the servants area, that key will be given to you in the ballroom when you find the documents in the library and the cylinder seal.
