I loved Solas's romance.

Blackwall's is...really, really depressing. Enjoying it, but...yeah. I wouldn't go into it expecting gushy sweetness or anything.

Of the two available to me:
Cassandra is decent and has some pretty cute sides to her but she just isn't my type.
I had hopes for Josephine but it is starting to sound like she is just Leliana's sloppy seconds after the complete stupidity that was her "real party" story and I want absolutely nothing to do with that.
Sheryl Chee, who wrote Leliana, revealed that Leliana and Josephine have never gotten physically involved.
In fact, Josephine has never been physically involved with anyone.

Females are all plain ugly ... wish we could go with Leliana or ... the other interesting woman in the plot.
Cass is a man with breasts and Josie ... well, something is off putting about her too and don't even start me on Vivienne, she is the worst. Probably gonna be first time when my Hero will finish the game as a Virgin

Well she probably should've made it more clear instead of constantly dancing around it.
And thank you for the information.
Who? Sheryl Chee or Leliana? If the latter then she does clear it up in the game.
You are welcome. ![]()

I'm pretty sure it was actually just supposed to be a joking reference to the Leliana's Song DLC that many people evidently missed. :S

I'm still trying to comprehend how Mass Effect 3's NPC's look better than DAI's, let alone the romance options.

I'm upset you can't romance Harding, and you can't gaymance Cullen. They were my first choices on my blind run, and finding out neither went anywhere was a huge downer. I am happy not everyone is bi again though.
Cassandra's romance was a lot of fun, and it was neat to find out that she secretly wants a very traditional romance despite being a hardass. I liked that. Next playthrough I am romancing Dorian; I like some of his dialogue and he's handsome if a little foppish; hoping his romance scene is as good as Cass's. I'm kind of disappointed with the gaymances actually, your options are huge bull man or kind of stereotypical gay mage.

Still progressing with Dorian. I like the way His sexual is bring to the plot and have a chance to PC to officially romance him.
And I really reall want to Romance Solas with Male PC. He is my favourite character.

I'd have love, love, loved a romance with Harding. She's one of my favorite characters in the game, particularly with her nice balance of sass and no-nonsense attitudes.

I went back and compared the romance content with DA2, and the romance content in DAI is worse. There may be more options but, the quality has dropped.

I haven't completed the game thus far, but I've enjoyed the Sera romance.
Progression seems to be programmed with the overarching story as well as both approval and instances of interaction.
Besides that, her own development is well made in the romance story itself, where it starts out as "a fun thing" where she might be interested and develops along a pleasureable path if you keep her interest (approval) and then after the - climax - scene it will go on to "true love" if you think that phrase is cool.
Hearing my Inquisitor literally say "I love you" was kinda cool, I'm wondering if Sera is going to do too, before the games end. Not sure if her tangled language will let her utter those words in that exact way ![]()

I disagree, with any of the companions in DA2 I only ever got some scenes per act, and in the case of Merrill whom I redid most playthroughs she only aknowledges affection in banter and after the house scene in act 2, which leaves about 4 or 5 scenes that has romantic content plus the end kiss I suppose.
In DA:I I have had at least half a dusin specific romance scenes involving Sera (well, only one with nudity, but wouldn't say that's the only one) I also got to interact in that regard when brining her with me to the Orlesian ball, which was nice. Asking her for a dance was cool. I haven't finished the game yet and doubt it is over just yet with the romantic content.

I dislike that they have to be borderline marriage/till death do us part romances.(This is true of all Bioware games.)
You should be able to hit on various NPC's and companions.

Given the strides they made with this game in terms of different sexualities, gender identities and the like, would not be surprised if eventually they did offer an open relationship with one or two characters in future games. Then again wasn't that sort of implied with the Isabella romance? At least, I can't imagine a relationship with her lasting very long if Hawke was not at least open to some form of polyandry.

Only with Male Hawke's I think. Isabela reacted to be more emotially invested in female Hawke.

I love Dorian as a character, but I don't plan on romancing him for a while. Gay is usually my way for the last romance, but I think I'm not going to do Solas at all so Dorian skips ahead in the queue.

Completed Cullen's, definitely no complaints here! For me personally he's joint first with Alistair's romance arc for sure!
