I think Cullen is race-gated for programming reasons honestly (added in later; the cut scenes height differential) but it seems totally possible that it also just fits with his character. I'm rather surprised he's even into elves (especially since you're Dalish) as he seems very traditional and I haven't seen many human/elf marriages. And he totally seems like he wants to make a full commitment to you - at least from the whole Trevalyan Noble POV. 

 

 

Yeah, now I have to romance Cullen with a mage, too. There are some differences to be sure - it's still an awesome romance as a rogue. 

 

Yeah, Humans made sense to me, Dalish is what got me confused. Ah well, nothing to be bothered about.

I romanced Blackwall and it was a bit...interesting to say the least. I had a hard time dealing with the aftermath, but it was handled well. I could see eye to eye with thim afterwards and he doesn't really have any reason to leave you now after everything is done.

 

Now I'm romancing Cullen, and I actually like his romance more (not done yet though). It's really sweet and touching, kind of like the mature version of the Alistair romance from DA:O. I'm romancing him with a Dalish mage btw, and the mage possesion convo was hard...

 

Next will be Dorian or Josephine.

Having romanced him with an elf, you can ask if you being an elf bothers him and he pretty much tells you that he didn't really think about it since elves and humans were both in the circle and they weren't really treated differently based on their race.

first romance was josephine, I loved it. got to dance with her at the end of a very tiring ball. a duel for her with a noble who turned out to be a alright guy... which good cause I think I was losing... should let my elf use his big axe, stupid tiny sword, and the look on his face when josephine show was funny. classic wife caught you doing something stupid moment.

Cassandra romance final scene observations:

 

1) Where are the flowers I had to trek over to Val Royeaux for?

2) Who thought it was a good idea to put all those candles in the grass?  You're going to burn the forest down!

3) Basking in the afterglow, Cassandra decides to bring up... sleeping with someone else?  Really?  So I'm not even your first mage?

 

The real question is, will you be her last mage.

What I saw in the videos on youtube the gay Iron Bull romance seems to be hillarious. Even though I liked the romance with Josie. She is adorable!

You can try with her (there are romance/flirt options with the heart symbol on the dialogue wheel with her) but she always says no.

Come to think of it I do have a problem with the romances, specifically after you romance them and specifically Cassandra.... when you ask for her to spend some time privately, why do they always end up making out in the smithy...

 

Shepard made use of his cabin... why cant the Inquisitor make use of his/her quarters. I know the smithy is the closes building but... are they so desperate? Not to mention that place is hardly... private.

I only did one playthrough so far and I romanced Cullen. It is a good romance , you get to have cuddles with him but instead of the kiss any time choice in dialogue I wish it was changed to cuddle any time .

 

I would've tried Solas but he has very little cutscenes...

I romanced Cullen on my first play through as a Human Mage. He was such a sweet romance and I fell in love. He was so awkward not knowing how to handle being flirted with it was adorable. It reminded me a bit of Alistair's romance in the beginning. I highly recommend it.

Yes I just saw a streamer play through the IB sex scenes, it was hilarious. On my first play through I'm romancing Cass and it is fantastic so far.

For Male romance option i can't say because none seem well developed enough.

Went on to romance Sera but stopped after she shut me down and told me she liked girls ... true story

I romanced Blackwall and it was such a great ride. Plenty of hints that made you suspect that something was definitely up but the big reveal was still surprising. I also liked that you could choose to abuse your power if ya want. >=D

 

And ABUSE IT I DID

 

I am really glad I picked him first. I prefer being blindsided by WHAT on my first playthrough more than anything else (and hey, at least he didn't EXPLODE A CHANTRY).

Im almost done with the game finishing Seras romance as a female mage qunari and it really is amazing. Shes super crazy and fun and its a good break from the rest of the world. Shes so very real.

Cullen's romance was just perfect. Perfect. I've waited three games to romance this guy and Bioware did NOT diappoint. SO happy they decided to add him in because it was wonderful.

I was going to "ride the bull" but after talking to her she seemed super chill, and certain moments of the romance cut scenes of talking to eachother is really sweet in my opinion.

But I have a feeling it isn't over yet. I'm betting Solas is Inquisition's Morrigan (it's always the first mage, dammit).

Decided to go with female inquisitor and romanced Sera. But there was just that black screen after mentioning going to bed and now nothing... no new dialogues or anything... just break/kiss option. Kiss is nice but kinda disappointing.

I really enjoyed Sera's romance, but I'm having trouble after hearing how she treats the inquisitor after the Solas break up. I'm going to stick with it (as I'm replaying my first game to befriend everyone) and stay with her, but it makes me doubt her as a character. Still I don't think any of these character's stories are done yet.
