Looks like someone didn't take Viv's suggestion  :P (that's how you get the other scene)

I really enjoyed Sera's romance, but I'm having trouble after hearing how she treats the inquisitor after the Solas break up. I'm going to stick with it (as I'm replaying my first game to befriend everyone) and stay with her, but it makes me doubt her as a character. Still I don't think any of these character's stories are done yet.

Lol Viv's suggestion? I had her in my party most of the time and I did talk to her (but didn't do her personal quest yet) and she didn't say anything. She hates my guts anyway. How should I proceed in procuring her ahhm mysterious suggestion if I'm willing to roll back my save game?

Cullen's is good.

Dorian's is good.

I've only done pieces of the others, but

Sera seems good.

Solas is kind of interesting, but I only got to the kiss scene (where you kiss him in a dream).

Iron Bull is to be expected, funny and light hearted. Though again only at the beginning part with this one.

Cullen made my teeth ache and not in a good way. I felt like someone was trying too hard to pander to me.

Josie's next for the simple reason that there is a swordfight.

Dorian was beautiful, I might've mentioned that... I've been purusing these forums and I just can't stop praising that character.

My male Inquisitor romanced Josephine the first time around.  It was boring, to say the least.

Dorian was WAY over the top. I did enjoy the thing (don't want to spoil the story for anyone) with his father - cause in RL that happens. A lot. But I can tell you now, only TV gay men know how to throw a pillow and have it land in the perfect spot. I sure don't. That was disappointing

Viv is another one.. I mean, who did BW model her after - some drag queen? All this "Darling" crap - I was like "Give it a rest honey - you aren't on stage now".

God, what is with the bigotry with some people in these forums?

But on the topic, not one the gross wording and behaviour of people in this thread, my fave romances so far are probably Solas and Josie.

Solas' romance is so bittersweet. I'm really hoping a DLC addresses the lack of closure.

Josie because, as many people have said, it is like a Disney romance and quite frankly I am glad we finally have a romance that isn't all about woe and terrible feelings/secrets; instead it's just sweet and lovely. No brooding, no inner angst. It's just nice to finally have a Bioware romance that isn't all angsty or forlorn.

I romanced Solas. I'm very glad he's the one I romanced on my first playthrough, I guess I keep being "lucky" by always romancing the guys who are most involved in the main plot in my first playthrough (Alistair, Anders, and now Solas).

Tho "lucky" is debatable as they've progressively made me more and more of an emotional wreck after beating the game. I started my 2nd playthrough in attempts to romance Cullen, and after meeting Solas, I was like, "oh god, I can't do this!" and had to stop playing.

So uh, yea. At this point I don't know if I'm strongly recommending Solas romance, or warning people to stay away.

The Dorian romanced I liked a lot. Thought it was cute, because it showed that despite the constant sharp wit, Dorian is a softie in the end. He is insecure in himself because of what he was supposed to represent, and what he truly is. I enjoyed it a lot.

Solas however...I don't know if it's brilliant or not, but I would argue it  is probably the most realistic romance in the game.

Viv murdered her previous lover, I don't think that would have been a better option. That woman is extremely self centered.

Romanced Blackwall first -> bitter and beautiful. How not to fall in love with a guy carving griffons?

During Sera's gift mission, Viv suggests doing something rather vulgar. That's the condition for the...y'know. (sorry about the timing)

I love Cullen so mu-hu-hu-hu-ch!  :crying:

No, seriously. Fan-service? Generic pretty-nerdy-sweet boy? I like it. Give me more of it. GIVE. :D

I'm going to try Dorian on my next playthrough. Interesting to see him get mixed reviews.

I've only done Blackwall so far, and I'm SO glad I settled on him as my first romance. He was a perfect foil to my rogue Cadash Inquisitor, and playing through his story without any spoilers was great. I figured out the basics of what was going on with him early in the game, and my reaction was 'THIS IS GOING TO BE EVEN MORE GLORIOUSLY ANGSTY THAN I THOUGHT!' I was not disappointed!

I think I'm going for Dorian next time.

Romanced Solas first and was bitter for about a day before I decided it was the greatest Bioware romance ever... except probably Garrus. If that doesn't get some kind of closure some day I might go back to bitter, but I can't believe it was only an "add on". I'm 30 hours into my second run (a Cullen romancing human) and my Dalish mage and Solas still seem like the only real way this story should be.

Do wish it had more content though, I'm loving Cullen's too and there's just so much of it compared to Solas. There's never enough companion content though, romance or not.

Cassandra's romance was pretty good, surprisingly. I wish there were better looking options for Straight Male inquisitors though. Josephine's romance is meh at best.

I also wanted to at least flirt with Krem. But Cullen's romance was great. Working on Cass and Dorian at the moment.

The Blackwall romance has ruined me for all other romances, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Ha! My thoughts exactly. Solas has joined Garrus in the "Best Bioware Romance" spot.

I also wish it had more content, but then I remember how amazing each of those scenes were. And Cullen may get more cutscenes, but I wouldn't trade the party banter for the world. Solas getting all stuffy after Viv points out he set his coat on fire had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.

And I need a resolution so much it hurts. I've never been so simultaneously giddy and filled with rage as I was when I saw that after the credits scene.

So how heavily different is Cullen's romance between him and a mage and him and a non-mage? I was going to romance him next, but I don't have a lot of interest in mage. If it really makes that much of a difference, I suppose things can be changed.

I saw youtube videos of Solas romance (especially the final romance part), and thought it was the best romance i've ever seen so far. I didn't care for Solas as a character too and was surprised to find his romance having much more depth.

Dorian's romance was average at best. It felt more like a hookup that turned into something more at the end.
