Really no replies. It's like the most important choice. In my humble no point of view. Or maybe people just haven't reached that point.

Well I've seen other posts regarding this issue so maybe they've just passed this topic :b
Regarding the main question...
Dunno.
I think If you're an elf, there's no matter in drinking it.
You are an elf, and serving your ancestors and the god of old would bee something honorable.
But I played a human. and up to that point of the game, I considered myself as 'the Herald of Andraste'.
Even thought the mark was given as an accident, I thought it was through the 'mysterious act of god'. Ya know? (argh it's getting religious
)
So drinking from the well, forever bound to an ancient demi-god, was not an option.
( and Solas states this : " he does not think they were gods, but he doesn't oppose they existed)
-------------------------
In a side note, I love family drama,
and seeing the irony in morrigan's arrogance and her struggle to be free from her mother actually lead her being a slave of flemmeth
forever... was cruel... but also interesting.
i drank deep in hope of great power, so disappointed (human mage)
I'm surprised. I thought more people would find the thought of nearly unlimited knowledge to be exciting. I would drank from it myself. I would too romanced with Morrgian to say no. Thankfully, Solas wasn't in my party. He didn't really know about it. It's still is appealing..knowledge that is forbidden.
Reminds me of 'cursed' objects in other games. Pretty cool should turn you into a frog forever IMHO ![]()
Yup. Yup. Yup. As a fem Qunari.
And Solas was PISSED.
Not sure which he hated me more for.
Killing the elves, or drinking from the well. *shrugs*
Either way, I got to punch him.
Kill the elves and drink from the well and you can punch Solas? Is that how it happened? I want to see this LOL
The only gameplay difference the well makes is:
You Drink: Your Dragon hurts Red Lyrium Dragon, fight it with half life
Morrigan drinks: Her Dragon form hurts Red Lyrium Dragon, fight it with half life.
No one drinks: Fight RLD full life.
Story wise in DLC/ DA4? Someone's not going to be able to touch Flemeth or not.
I played a female elf sorc and let Morrigan drink from the well. I also went through the temple and (Several rages later) got through all the puzzles, which eventually left me with the ancient elves as allies. I also promised I wouldn't drink from the well, but through convo convinced the guardian to let Morrigan do it.
What as absolutely hilarious was that Morrigan was tripping balls once back to Skyhold
And Varrric's comment when you talk to him about it's an absolute riot.

Can you PM me a guide how to do the puzzle. I found it the most frustrating part. Which is the reason I decided just to dive into fighting.
I haven't decided what to do yet. Not fond of the idea of being enslaved to an ancient elven god (or whatever they are), or having Morrigan eternally bound to Flemeth.
I constantly saved every 5 minutes throughout every main quest in the game, preempting major choices.
The first time, I let Morrigan drink from the Well. It was the most practical choice, because Morrigan was better equipped to handle such knowledge, and I also didn't want to risk my inquisitor given the price we were told about. Morrigan drinking from the Well is my canon choice.
I also reloaded to see what happened if I had my inquisitor use the well. I played a little further on after until we see the consequences of using the Well, and then I reloaded my initial save where Morrigan used it, because I didn't like the implications of my Inquisitor doing so.
As Adaar I let Morrigan do it cause I was a BFS warrior so I left the weird magic **** to weird magic people. As Lavellan I drank from it cause come on, dalish mage, First to her clan, dedicates her life to ancient elven lore and magic, of course I'm not leaving that to a shady shem who's sounding real eager about it. As Trevelyan I haven't reached that point yet but my plan is following what the guide says Bull will approve of cause I'm gonna pork him in that playthrough
I drank from the well because morrigan has a son and I didn't wan't anything to terrible to happen to her. not to mention her son is the ogb and it would suck if he hated me for any reason.

Either your inquisitor or Morrigan must drink from the well, I don't know why you've got "No one drinks: RLD full life" there as an option.
I drank it. I didn't quite trust Morrigan.
My inq already sacrificed a lot + i have anchor that i dont want anyway so honestly what more can I lose?
So I saw what happened after and I regret nothing. I hope this choice shows up in dlc.
