I had my Inquisitor drink from the Well.  My Warden may have let Morrigan drink if they were there - but the Inquisitor and the Inquisition has absolutely no reason to trust Morrigan - apart from pointing the way to the Arbor Wilds (and saying regularly that she is doing so to find out what is there/what power is there), there really isn't any reason to think she is doing so for anyone but herself.

When it comes down to it, the Inquisitor will use the well in probably every playthrough I do.  Just because I can't RP any reason to let Morrigan use the well with how well the Inquisition knows her.

It's not about trust. it's about understanding the consequences of using it. Would it be worse that the leader of the inquisition, who commands armies , is controlled by an elven god?

My Quizzy always drinks, I happen to like Flemeth and I always play a male (except to do the female only romances) so, what, she's going to want to have a child from me - sure, why not, I can be a (cringes at the upcoming pun) GodFather.

I drank it first time because I don't trust Morrigan...but when Solas killed Flemeth and well stole her soul...I kinda regret it since that means that now I'm his servant and in my first play I punched Solas for lol....now that he got Flemeth's soul I kinda wish Morrigan drank that thing instead of me O_O.

That well had all kinds of wrong to it . I just felt like I would never drink from a well that people told me was tied to a god irl. Faith is a powerfull thing even if I'm not a believer nor a denier. Only time one of my chars drank from that creepy thing is when my dalish did it because elves I guess.

How does one not trust Morrigan. I trusted her on my first playthrough and let her drink it and because I don't want her to be bound to her mother, I drink it now. Plus Flemeth is Awesome. What is not to like! Mysterious and Badass and turns into a dragon.

I feel Flemeth or Solmeth will be the good guys and there will be a great evil threat.

The only gameplay difference the well makes is:

You Drink: Your Dragon hurts Red Lyrium Dragon, fight it with half life

Morrigan drinks: Her Dragon form hurts Red Lyrium Dragon, fight it with half life.

No one drinks: Fight RLD full life.

Story wise in DLC/ DA4? Someone's not going to be able to touch Flemeth or not.

Is this even possible? I'm always forced to choose between me and Morrigan.

I drank the pool of elfy-elveness during my last play-through as a Dalush hunter. I was my heritage we were talking about, after all. Now I am the servant of my love. Life could be worst

For me, in my game play. My Elven Inquisitors will always drink since in my RP, it is seen by an Elf as a boon from Mythal and more Elven knowledge.

Most of my Human Inquisitors will not drink but perhaps one of them.

Since Morrigan will receive Mythal's wisp, we'll be servant to her and not Solas.

She wins here no matter what. Just like Leliana. Typical writer's pet.

ummm. Are we seeing the same plot. Solas has all of Mythal's powers. Morrigan or the quiz is going to be a slave to him.

I did one time... because there's a trophy that can only gotten by doing so.

Morrigan is pretty gung ho about drinking it herself, potential consequences be damned, so I let her do it usually.

On my second playthrough, yes. The best part was arguing w/ Morrigan.

My Qunari warrior wasn't interested and highly suspicious, my Dalish Keeper saw it as a chance to reclaim the knowledge of her ancestors.

I spent almost a hour staring the dialogue wheel. I just couldn't let something bad happen with Morrigan. I'm willing to sacrifice my Inquisitor for my friends, that's for sure. And my Warden would be pissed if something bad happened with her D:

I think Sera sums up the choice nicely, saying something to the effect of:
"Um Hello? It's called the 'Well of Sorrows", Yeah?  You don't drink from somethin with 'sorrow' in it."

My lady Cadash did drink from the Well. I RPed her to be very confident of her own skills and she knows (or she thinks she knows) that power will not corrupt her in any way. Plus, she doesn't know and doesn't trust Morrigan. Especially because when you get in the Temple, Morrigan starts to behave a little iffy.

With my lady Lavellan I haven't reached that bit yet, and I don't know. I think she'll trust Solas (yeah, that's a good idea, right?) and let Morrigan drink. Mostly because I want to see what happens if you pick a different choice, to be honest.

There is some mysterious "post from developers" where they explain that Solas took only Flemeth\Mythal powers but not her godhood (which is supposed to go to Morrigan?)

And they lost somewhere the scene (were surprised by it - can you believe it?) about Solas begging you not to drink.

Still think for an elf who worships his\her gods to be bound to one AND have a great power is a very attractive thing.

I drank from the fountain because I didn't trust Morrigan's motives.
