Doesn't Flemeth say she frees you before she leaves you to fight the guardian ?

Told me that she has no orders for me yet.

So no.

You're still her mind slave if you drink the cool aid.

Ah ok. There's probably a way to lolnope her though, at least I hope, I don't like when I'm not the most powerful thing around

Yes. There's always a third option.

That's to die.

But that's not an option. Yet...

I was hoping I could kill off the inquisitor in the aftermath of the final battle but Corypheus was too weak to require sacrifice to be beaten. Disappointing.

To be fair the Archdemon didn't risk killing you because it was powerful, it was the Taint-transfer thingy

Also I meant more like, kicking her ass, or sheer willpower

I let Morrigan drink from the well (without her child) and the quest changes quite a bit, and you discover that the voices Morrigan hears, or that you hear, are actually from Flemeth herself, she tells you or more like you say that when you go to her shrine. I found that interesting.

It's a hard choice though, I mean if I drink from the well I'm a servant of Mythal forever, but I also have lots of knowledge. If Morrigan drinks from the well I'm not a servant and can do whatever I want, but Morrigan would know secrets I could never find out.

I didn't.

1) Morrigan's points were valid, and she has never given me reason to not trust her. Back in DA:O she told me precisely what the ritual would do and what she would do after it. So fairly trustworthy in my book.

2) I had no idea what the cost was and anything with an unknown cost is "NOPE" in my book. Especially if it's the "artifact will take the dearest thing from you", and if that's the case, then that's Dorian and NOBODY is getting Dorian.

3) Dorian was with me and the look of "Don't take it..." swayed me as well.

The entire time I kept trusting Morrigan over and over again: trusted her with Flemeth's grimoire, trusted her with the OGB in origins and I trusted her opinion regarding the rituals.

So by the time I had to make the choice, I just crossed my fingers and let Morrigan drink from it.

Sure my Inquisitor was Dalish, but if Abelas and Solas are to believe, Dalish elves are just shadows from their ancient ancestors, barely any different from city elves. So in the end, I'd argue Morrigan had about as much 'right' to drink from the well as a Dalishquisitor.

Plus, like Barathos I assumed that the sacrifice was going to be the person I romanced and I really, really did NOT need the well to take away the Commander of my forces, thank you very much.

Not to mention, Flemeth is actually.... Really nice and seeing Morrigan deal with the sacrifice really shows her human side. I like to think Morrigan learns to accept (and trust) Flemeth more with this path. I had all the feelz and wouldn't trade it for a "DUHR HUR GO TAME A DRAGON DUHR HUR" mission.

After finding out how completely distorted all the Dalish tales of their gods and history have become, my elf let Morrigan drink.  Actually, she was screaming "BAD IDEA - BAD IDEA - BAD IDEA" as loudly as she could, hoping no one would fool with it, but...you know...PLOT DICTATES.

So what was Morrigan thinking? About Flemeth, that is. At the end of Witch Hunt, she says of her: "(...) no blood-mage, no abomination, she is not even truly human." Then we discover what she is and clear it is not whatever Morrigan was thinking. And looking at it, she actually does fit the definition of "abomination," seeing as she sort of is the host of a spirit.

I let my human Inquisitor drink. Let me just say that I hate the whole idea and would have let anyone else do it, but as for Morrigan I just couldn't make her a servant to her mother. She has a child that she loves and a "husband" as well. My Inquisitor is a HoF fanboy and well, all I personally want is a Warden family reunion. Let them live a good life together and my Inquisitor worry about the rest. Although I do still hate my decision, if I had the option to, I would make someone else leader and probably make my Inquisitor kill himself or something like that after the world is saved. So it wasn't because I didn't trust Morrigan or because the Inquisitor wanted the knowledge or the power or whatever but I drank because I considered it "protecting Morrigan" and gaining Warden approval.

I closed the breach today and sent that idiot to the Fade.

But then... during the victory posturing... my game locked. <sigh>

I let Morrigan drink it because my Dalish elf had no desire to be under the control of an ancient goddess she most definitely didn't believe was gone.

I'm glad I did, it led to one of the most character building scenes for Morrigan I had ever seen.

No, it's a one more dragon fight, but I maybe liked ending more when I drank from the well with my second character.

I let her drink. My Inquisitor's got enough to worry about without cursed boons or some such nonsense. The way I see it, if the witch wants to drink from it so badly, she can knock herself out.

Did I drink? No.

Why not? Morrigan wanted to.

I know enough of her to know I wouldn't do anything she would for power unless I had no choice. In DAO yes I chose the Old God baby ritual almost everytime, because your life is at stake (or Alistair's).

Given Morrigan was my wardens Li and her child was his child, I did not want to have the mother of his child put at risk or his child potentially so drank from the well myself on my inquisitor. I also let the ancient elven at temple live and let him go off to explore this new world he has been away from so he can help his people.

So Morrigan get much more out of the well than the inquisitor. Why did she not summon the guardian herself than? A dragon and a shape shifted dragon is 2 dragons to gank rld. Stupid cow, now that thing has ruined the keep! You deserve your mother!

I do not think it attacked the keep, the rift appeared off in the distance and it was under that rift you were shown to be fighting and hence why the keep was shown to have suffered no damage after the attack. Others have said it was the temple of sacred ashes where the fight takes place and based on the lack of damage to your keep and other evidence I might be inclined to agree. The reality is your keep is worthless in the game in terms of both never getting attacked and no forces even present during the final battle. The upgrades worthless too, none of it has any real impact or consequences in the game. They might as well as have of had your army and companions based in an open field with tents. Bioware promoted and pushed through promotion the concept of having this keep and it's use in game pre-release but they never bothered implementing most of the things they promised, dumbed down the rest and made no use of it with exception of the three useless upgrades, some vanity changes and nothing more than a camp to place NPC's.

If I'm an elf I always do it. If I'm not an elf and Morrigan has no child, I let her drink.
