E3 2014 (June 9, 2014):
-The next Mass Effect will take place in a whole new region of space.
-The world is vast and you can continue onto the horizon.
-Galaxy map will receive an overhaul.
-Space exploration will be receiving an overhaul in order to make space more of a "place" rather than a "thing."
Comicon 2014 (July 31, 2014):
-The new protagonist of the next Mass Effect will be a human male/female who appears to be a member of the N7 Program.
-The Mako will be returning, and overhauled, to provide an all new exploration-driven gameplay experience.
-The Mako will handle a lot better and the physics have been overhauled.
N7 Day 2014 (November 7, 2014):
-Introducing a lot of brand new concepts in the next Mass Effect.
-New species and planets varying from natural to mechanical.
-Exploration will be one of the main pillars of the next Mass Effect.
-Lots of new activities to explore and more functionality for the Mako.
-Exploring the vastness of space and new planets.
-This is the biggest Mass Effect yet (new locations, story, characters, etc.).
-The next Mass Effect is a game about choice (Mako just one component).
-The player is going to have a lot more tools when exploring, researching, scanning the environment, etc.
-The new protagonist becomes a hero throughout the new story instead of starting out as one (Ex: Shepard).
-Making the experience more immersive and not constantly taking the player out of the game with cut scenes, GUI, etc.
-There is a lot of conflict and new issues for the hero to resolve.
-An epic adventure and a personal journey.
-Dynamics between player and companions has evolved from previous games.
-Space is as important to explore as the rest of the game.

Yes, I know there is a "Known Features" thread. However, most of its information is antiquated and doesn't appear to be regularly updated.
