I haven't noticed anything destructible thus far. I kept waiting for it to be a part of the main quest, but suddenly I'm on the last one and I haven't gotten any notifications about it. I have found a keep in...Exalted March, I think, the one with the Eye of Sauron, that had straw piles I could set on fire, but nothing I could blow up.
Am I missing it because I'm looking for something active, like a target crosshair or circle on the ground? Can you just decide to blow up a bridge?
there's some red lyrium and keep doors/gates you get to smash, iirc. other than than, it's mostly dragons that get to actually destroy **** like trees.

This is not completely true. The cover in lots of areas will be destroyed but heavier hitting abilities. Also you actually need to break boxes and such to get to special areas if you are looking for them. Not sure if thats a spoiler or not sorry 
I'm pretty sure one of the hypes of the game prior to release was destructible environments. Knocking bridges out from under enemy soldiers, blowing up cliffs with dragons perched on them, stuff like that. Am I just thinking of a completely different game?
