So when I scroll through my crafting list I find that some armors look really cool on a character. But then I see it is mage only or something. Is there some way to craft them for other classes?

YES!

I tweeted Mike Laidlaw about this. You need a metal called silverite to cross-class craft!

To put more detail in it, you need Silverite to make Heavy Armor wearable by any class, Snoufleur Skin to make Medium Armor wearable by any class, and Dales Loden Wool to make Light Armor wearable by any class.

Oh forgot the important question here... does it sacrifice a crafting slot? 

Best case scenario would be if silverite were in the armor-rating slot imo.

Yes, you have to put them in the main slot, so you get a pretty great armor rating from it. I love this since the Dalish scout armor is so great looking on mages!

Looks like I'll be heading to The Lion. I must wear The Battlemaster armor.
