I'm sure there have been other threads suggesting this but surely having research items in a separate tab would make more sense and I wouldn't end up selling them when I sell all my junk

The reaserch ones do have little notes when you highlight them in the sell screen that say they are research items.

For the longest time I refused to touch anything in valuables. Silly me for thinking they were VALUABLE and I should hold onto them for story purposes!

But yeah it would make more sense if those ware at least in crafting tab rather then in junk tab

Putting them under Other would work, not sure I've ever seen anything in other.

I like it this way. I don't really want the game to sort my loot for me.
