I got the result where I have to fight Florianne, however I have no health potions and there doesn't seem to be a supply cache.

The only one I know of is before the rift fight where Florianne outs herself, but that was a very hard fight and I used them all. 

I'm locked into the boss arena with her, so I can't leave to look for caches and I can't go level up somewhere to make it easier. All of my characters are on 25% health and get one-shotted, so the boss fight isn't possible right now, meaning I'm trapped. 

Does anyone know of a supply cache near here? The entire Winter Palace quest is overly difficult because you never have any supplies.

Also i'm not able to change out of my formal clothes, which is kind of an issue

Did you not save at all before confronting the Duchess? There's a supply cache located just before you reenter the ball room. The door is on other side of the final courtyard, you'll enter a kitchen, continue from there.

Well I didn't know I'd be fighting her.

My only previous save is before the rift fight I think, but that's not far back.

Thanks for the help, I'll see if I can find that cache. 

 

Edit: It actually auto-saves just before you re-enter the Ballroom after the rift fight, I was able to find the cache in the kitchen like you said, thanks so much for the tip.

Even with all my potions she's incredibly strong, I can barely dent her, I can kill both her guards with a well placed Mark of the Rift, but it hardly hurts her and she seems to have a lot of Guard. Is there some strategy to fighting her that I'm missing? I can't really last long enough to get a good look at her attack patterns.

I'm not entirely sure if there's a surefire tactic. I went with 3 mages and 1 tank, which seems like a good idea because she jumps all over the place (obviously I didn't know range would be a requirement beforehand, I suppose I lucked out here). Wouldn't bring too much melee to the table when fighting her.

I went with Cole, Cassandra and Bull, my Inquisitor is a warrior.

Hindsight is 20/20 lol.

I wish there was some way to change your party, it kind of sucks that you have to commit from the start of the mission seeing how long it is and how much the situation changes during. 

I may have to revert to the Milestone save at Skyhold before the mission and try again from the start with a specialized party, I'd lose 3 hours of gameplay though

Yeah, that's rather unfortunate. On the plus side, atleast you'll know exactly where to get those Halla statues/caprice coins now. Just blizz right through

 

Edit: alternatively, level yourself up a bit. it would be really horrible if you still couldn't handle this even with mages present. Horrible as in, another couple hours lost.

Yeah I think I'll do that, now that I've played through the mission I might consult that strategy guide you posted and get the best possible result, thanks for your help.

I was level 17 at the time when fighting the grand duchess, she caps out at 16.. so if you ever want the fight to be easy you'll just have to exceed her cap by a lot.
