Considering Solas is Fen Harel and Flemeth is Mythal could Sandal have been an Elven god too?
So is sandal an XXX too?

You should change the title of this thread, no spoilers in title and not everyone knows about the elven god stuff in this game yet.

Yes and forum rules state not to put obvious spoilers in the title because they CAN be seen on the main page.

I will stand by my theory until (and most likely after) Bioware refutes it, that Sandal is an avatar of the Stone.

I agree often wondered if that's not true especially if you remember Bodain talking about him

Sandal just struck me as a Paragon since DA:O, only that his condition (and surface exile) made him unable to claim the social standing among Dwarven culture.
The fact that Dagna is also a talented rune crafter after years of training proves that he was immensely gifted and intelligent, but by no means supernatural.

No. Sandal is the Maker himself. Think about it. He has a certain knack for killing dozens of darkspawn. Elven gods may be in disagreement with tevinter gods, but none other than the maker has a real beef with those guys.... Why Corypheus walked into the golden city and found the throne empty? Because he went to earth to frolic among the dwarves. Why else would the darkspawn have such a feud with dwarves if what the old gods really want is in the heavens. Well, because they're looking for the maker to take revenge.

Except that dwarves as rune crafters is by no means unique. In DA:2 the rune crafter is a dwarf named Worthy. Just as the enchanters of the mages are tranquil. The mages themselves don't work enchantments, the tranquil do.
Nobody has yet been able to explain Sandal's killing of darkspawn (except for the possibility of an exploding rune of sorts, 'boom') or the fact he FROZE an ogre in DA:2. His only statement on that was 'not enchantment'.

I think Sandal is an old god (maybe June or Dirthamen?) who created 'the Stone' which created the dwarven race. Or he was the first dwarf ever created. I really hope theres a DLC that brings him back and explains him once and for all.

No, you've got it all wrong! Sandal is.....the Maker.
That's a horrible accusation. What did Sandal ever do to be associated with ultimate evil?

I think he's part elf, hence the light hair and creepy big eyes, which causes him to want to be a mage, but his elven mage genes are not playing nice with the dwarf genes.

He sounds like he might be descended from that paragon's house from the hissing wastes IMO

But the maker isn't ultimate evil, Maker sounds more like something dwarves would call a god and the primal dwarves seemed be inclined to divine worship if the primal thiag showed anything. Even if he isn't the maker he might be one of the ancient dwarven gods from before they worshiped the stone itself.
