Alix is fantastic! Sumalee's voice is a bit too flat and emotionless for my taste. I wanted a sarcastic, cheery qunari rogue and was dissapointed. She is always so stoic, even if you choose funny/sarcastic options.

I hate the British accents, I really really do. The male sounds too weak and posh and the female just sounds like a Princess trying to be tough, it's very...unfitting IMO. God knows how anyone could put the British accent on the Qunari or Dwarf.

The American voice isn't amazing but I find it palatable.

TBH I would have preferred a voice like Blackwall's or Cullen's but I guess Posh T w a t is the the "thing" for DA protagonists from now on unless we choose the "modern American accent" as I've nick-named it.

As Simon Templeman is testament to, a royal voice doesn't have to sound like a weak Posh T w a t.

Another voice I would have liked would be a rough sounding voice like the Stealth Specialist voice set from NWN especially since it fits any hero. As it goes, the voices we've got all feel very lacking and indistinct whereas companions are all recognizable with their voices.

Voices are always powerful in Bioware games and in ME, Shepard's voice is great and iconic. I can't say the same for any of the protagonist's voices from DA2 or Inquisition so I'm disappointed in that. Still, I'm probably a minority.

I like the British male voice, especially for the funny/sarcastic options. The American voice actor makes my Inquisitor sound...slow. Poor guy sounds like he took far too hard of knock on the head when the Breach opened and the doctor didn't have the heart to inform him that his IQ had dropped about 40 points.

Granted I only stuck with that voice through a big chunk of Wrath of Heaven before my game completely messed up and I had to start over, so maybe it changes later, but his exchange with Varric especially makes it seem that way.

"That's...ehhhhh...a nice, uh,...crossbow...you have there."

I think the American male voice is great for Qunari and Dwarves and the British male voice is perfect for human and elves.

I'm playing a Qunari Mage and after an initial "Oh GOD that does NOT fit" reaction and listening to it for a bit, it's pretty good.

Got to agree. I thought it was just me, but I've gone with British female (no choice really) but a lot of the time it reminds me of a voice over from a documentary. Quite dry and very voice over as opposed to actor.

I think she did the v/o for Matt Lucas and David Walliams' 'Come Fly With Me' which is exactly fitting.

It's ok a lot of the time though. Had much, much worse :) just wish it was more 'acted', more personality.

Maybe it's aimed at suiting a middle ground to suit all characters.

The American voices kind of suck.

I mean, we don't ALL sound this bad... do we?

But yeah, British accent forever.

I kind of wish there was an Irish accent for elves, though.

Playing DA:I for the second time. This time around I've chosen Jon Curry's voice (American accent). For me, it's much better than British! My Inquisitor sounds much more powerful and it really fits its role (The leader of the Inquisition!). In my opinion, British voice is too soft. With that voice Herald was just some random guy, not a head of powerful organisation.

I can't believe that Jon Curry actually voiced Zevran.

Definitely Alix, she's awesome.
