For anyone who is currently playing this setup...
Is Rift mage a viable option on nightmare difficulty or will it be under powered and too challenging? I am more intrigued by playing Rift mage over KE because I don't want a stupid easy game that feels broken. Right now I am a level 7 mage and still deciding what to specialize in.
I'm on Nightmare as a Champion, with Solas, Dorian and Sera/Varric. Solas certainly pulls his weight, I use him (Ice/Rift Mage) to crowd control. Ice Mine + Veil Strike keeps em locked down, stone fist (or w/e) is kinda out of place but overall he's pretty good.
