I was hoping to make a crit mage flashpoint build.

Flashpoint has an internal CD of 10 seconds! So flashpoint only works once every 10 seconds at most? This ruined my whole build idea and the frustration is killing me. 

Just wanted to confirm - Flashpoint DOES indeed have an internal cooldown? It will only skip a CD once every 10 seconds minimum?

I interpreted that as the buff lasts for 10 seconds...but I could be wrong.  Haven't looked that closely.

I think you're right; you cast flashpoint, then another ability, this one is instant (no cool down), but flashpoint needs a 10 sec cooldown to recast.  I'm thinking that just doing those in successions would leave you at 6-7 seconds before you can use flashpoint again; still very useful if you ask me (you didn't)

 

Edit: where did you get that chart?  Is there one for each tree? It's really sweet.

If there is an internal cooldown, it's bugged and doesn't work.

 

I regularly get to chain 3+ spells back to back through that passive.

Are you sure there are no other passives or gear doing that? Can you cast elemental barrage unrestricted by CD? O.o

No other CDR Gear/Passives.

 

Hell, half the time the Flashpoint icon doesn't even show up and I get a cooldown reset.

SomeoneStoleMyName why do you keep making posts on theorycraft instead of playing it and finding it out?

 

My personal experience is I have cast Energy Barrage 3x in a row quite frequently before and 4x in a row once.

Flashpoint is bugged. There is hardly any cooldown involved atm.
