Hi all, dug mass effect out and blew the dust off of it but wanted to play the series from the start again. I've just finished my hard core play through finished at level56 and want the level 60 achievement and insanity play through.. Does anyone know if i play with a previous player to get the level 60 achievement is there a way to get the insanity acheivement as well? It just goes straight into the game and doesn't give the options to change the difficulty, except through the settings. But I'm not sure if that counts.....???? Any help please??

:-)

When importing an existing Shepard for a new game, as soon as you get control of Shepard aboard the Normandy, change the difficulty. As long as you change the difficulty to Insanity before stepping foot on Eden Prime, you will be able to get the Insanity achievement.

Aww thanks, was worried I may have to play through a couple more times to get all the achievements. Also something I've noticed is that you get a bonus skill to add after you get the usage acheivements (use lift 75times etc) on a new character, will they be available to my vanguard Shepard? For example when I import my level 55 vanguard, will I be given the option to add sniper/assault rifles? When I complete they acheivements of course.

Thanks again

No, you cannot select or change a bonus talent on an import playthrough. Sorry.

Only on PC. m4rty29 did not specify which platform he is playing on. I play on Xbox 360 and have no real knowledge of the console commands on PC.

Yeah, i always forgot ME1 is on console too, sorry :)

i dont really see the point to play an imported guy in ME1. Same run, no building.

In me2, importing is challenging at the start.

If m4rty29, U R on PC just take a look at the me1 tweak wikia to use the console if U want.

Enemies level with player in ME1. Try playing Eden Prime at level 60 - the enemies are harder to kill than on level 1. Not to say it's a challenge for a level 60 character though

I forgot that too... But starting with your full equipment is OP, isnt it ?

Do U start with your full equipment on ME2 ? Archangel mission with an imported maxed vanguard was the toughest of all ME for me. I hope it s not the glyph upgrade that make such a difference ?

Now i guess my toughest challenge is  the therum krogan battlemaster in my current adept playthrough. I should have kept a save to retry it later on insanity, but i was unable to pull it.

ME1 stops being challenging from around level 25-30.

In ME2 all the weapons and armor transfer to NG+, not the Locust though, as I recall. Your weapon training on the Collector Ship also transfers. You won't have any upgrades though.

Therum battlemaster is tough if you go there early. I play on Insanity and killed him quite a few times with Engineer, Infiltrator and Soldier characters. Have a Kaidan in your squad and you should be fine. You should spec him for biotics and Medicine. Wrex is also quite helpful with his Warp.

I had Wrex and tali for the geth... I tried 30 times, no way i could leave that krogan alone, he always entered rage mode early and i could nt deal with him with my level IV AR. Just had stasis unlocked, but it did nothing. when back to casual difficulty out of rage :), and still had trouble. The rest is ok now i reached level 20.

ME2 NG+ is really tought at start, so than mean those glyph upgrades are immportant :). I don t remember if single playtrhough become too easy on ME2 after a point ?

Get Mattock and play as a Soldier. Or play an Infiltrator. :D

I love having hacking for Therum mission, geth help me fight the krogan :D

Hacking one geth made the krogan rage immediatly :), even when i hacked a far away one.

In me2 the adept team is destroying this sequence with instakills : warp buffed against barrier, lift, unstable warp => 3 dead collectors
