It's all here. It started from a thread in reddit and other people have confirmed that they have located these files. Some people were right, some weren't (obviously). But it does contain some information that hadn't been guessed.

Good find, and good to finally know. Thanks.

I'm still reading through all the responses here as this topic fascinates me.

but my 2 cents so far:

mythal has a history of correcting, punishing, and making peace with other elven "gods". It makes a lot of sense that mythal, having used up her current body, would seek a new one which would also put her in a position to change the dread wolf in some way

I feel his feelings of regret are about giving coriphaeus the orb, and her regret is that she will have to change him and occupy the body

as mentioned mythal can't or won't take an unwilling host, so I think the dread wolf let her

I think solas was only dishonest in what he omits from truth. Telling mortals that he is a super powerful (or supernatural) ancient being would not be believed by many and other would not treat him the way he wants to be treated. Mythal takes this same course of action in the first two games, never revealing her true nature.

we have too much missing to tell the complete story, we need to know who killed mythal in her temple centuries ago, if it wasn't the dread wolf, and what was flemeths tragedy that caused her to call on mythal in the first place?  Why would the dread wolf trust a darkspawn magistar with an object of great power?

your guesses are as good as mine on these questions. Hopefully we'll have some answers in the next game or in future DLC

All I know is that if that is the end of Flemeth played by Kate Mulgrew done in a tiny end cutscene I will be peeved! And upset :'(

I think the Elven "Gods" are more like Demigods. I don't think the bigger picture is just Elven Gods...I like everyone's theories however, but my thought (and ultimately my hopes) are that even Fen'Harel's story is part of a bigger story. One thing is for sure, BioWare has just made tons more canvas for possibilities with this franchise. I noticed that they didn't just kill off characters (without our consent anyway) we come to be attached to. Flemeth has certainly won my heart since the beginning in DA:O. I recall someone saying "I hope BioWare doesn't go the tired route..." (or something to that effect) and I share your concern. 2014 game of the year and such consideration for the fans thus far (in my opinion)? Let's hope not.

Thedas has literally changed and to me that equals more possibilities. I really liked reading about your theories of a future game (and expansion) pursuing Solas/Fen'Harel. The possibility of an Inquisition campaign investigating his disappearance and uncovering a huge mystery about Solas' attempt to reawaken/collect/release the old elven gods. Visiting Arlethan and discovering the true history about the fall of the Elves. Not to mention the world state we leave Inquisition in! All of this is extremely exciting and reassuring that this isn't the last of Dragon Age.

Some of my hopes for future titles:

I hope they continue with the Frostbite engine and the same gameplay elements in the future titles. I played Inquisition on PC and though it was a bit different than earlier DA games, I adapted quick and felt right at home. The graphics in this one was SPOT ON and added to much of this game's greatness.

I second that hope of an expansion to get a little more info on Solas' disappearance. I think that would be a great idea to stage whatever plot in a future game.

I hope the writers don't get lazy. I hope BioWare stays strong and has more of Thedas for us to experience!

I don't know if this is out there yet but maybe they just decided to mutually combine forces thinking they are stronger together than apart. Neither seemed threatened by the other in the scene.

This could be setup for the next game in that Solas could offer the Mythal spirit to a betrayed player character. There's a lot of possibilities and I think it was purposefully left open for the writers to have some freedom to adjust things as they want. I'm not holding my breath for a Hunt for the Dread Wolf DLC...

For people discussing who absorbed who, if you go into Solas' room in Skyhold after the ending the final part of the wall has been painted. It shows a wolf standing over a dragon that has a sword in it, I'm guessing this depicts him and Flemeth.

That's the last mural he was painting of the Inquisitor's story. Although he was perhaps hinting at how his plan was to stand victorious over Corypheus.

I thought it was pretty obvious that Flemeth gave her body/soul/power to Solas willingly as a last resort since the foci got smashed.

The real question is how did Solas awaken?

Very good point. I also have issues with the fact that he gave the orb to Corypheus. OMG he should have known that was wrong to do.

He gave the orb to Cory so he could activate it. He knew the explosive effects that would occur after activation and he assumed it would kill off Cory, and allow him to take the orb for himself. This is why he was close the temple of ashes at the start of the game.

He is also responsible for the downfall of the elves. He locked away the elven "gods", with good reason it seems.

It fits that he is the Dreaded Wolf. He must have known all those people would die.

I hope at the very least Kate Mulgrew returns to voice Mythal herself.
