So after having a lot of trouble picking a race for my Inquisitor, I started wondering did anyone else have the same issue, and what race did they wind up picking? Anyone want to post their Race/Gender/Class combinations and why they picked them?

Female human warrior.

 

I dunno how anyone else feels but the other races seem a little tacked on. The storyline goes smoother with a human Inquisitor.

Human male mage. I usually play as human first for immersion purpose.

Male Qunari. Warrior.  I spent three minutes last night trying to determine if the fact that Iron Bull is sliiiiightly taller than the male Qunari model was acceptable or not. I gave him a pass. eventually.

male qunari two-handed warrior (my 'main', who I'm at about 58 hours with at this point)

female dwarf sword and shield warrior

female qunari ranged rogue

Male Qunari Mage, specifically Knight Enchanter! I had this character in mind for a few months now, a stalwart glimmer of light in the dark and yada yada. Plus, I wanted some of that Qunari/Qunari Iron Bull love ;P

Pritty much this.  I would prefer to RP as an elf... but I just do not want/need those -damage racials on normal mode.  And +1 skill... is very nice... plus the Human Mage has a bit better of a background origin than the Elf Mage imo so it works out.

Male human mage. First, dat skill point. Second, the flow of my personal canon from DAO->DA2->DAI just seems smoother with one, thematically. (And also because of the irresistible lure of have a world state where ALL THE HEROES ARE HUMAN MAGES.)

The way things are, I think I'll roll an elf next.

Female Qunari Rogue (without horns, which looks much better). Why? Because I have a female Human Mage and Female Warrior Hawke, and needed a Female Rogue, but despise the other races.

I started with a male human mage. I hate playing classes without magic, and I always play male and prefer humans. I may try a male elf mage in my next playthrough to see some of the differences in dialogue and to play the story from another view.

Alrighty made my Human male Shield and Sword Inquisitor for next playthrough

Dalish female for me. I was able to make a face I truly liked for an elf, and I was excited to be one of the People while simultaneously championing the Chantry out of obligation. I figured it would create some delicious tension.

 

The results have been mixed. Sometimes, I get what I expected. Other times, I think the game forgot I wasn't human.

I went with human mage just because I find the Circle Mage background the most compelling in the context of this game's story. I'm agonizing over which race to go with next playthrough--male Qunari to romance Cassandra or female elf to romance Blackwall? Or a dwarf to pine after Harding?

 

I agonize over very silly things.

Human.  The elves look like the aliens in that movie close encounters and the qunari have tiny heads.

Qunari because of those lacquered/enamelled looking horns and to loom over everyone uncomfortably in every conversation.

So far, Male Qunari Mage. He will be a Necromancer when I get to that point.

Female elf mage. Great romance with Solas, and we finally get the chance to be a dalish mage rather than one from the circle.
