Not sure why they remove this from the PC but it is one thing I really find annoying.

i wish i can named my saved files (esp one just before major choices) so i can always go back and played that part of the story just to see which is better.

now, all my saved files are Hinterlands and Frostback Mountains and Skyhold, I'm totally confused where they are.

That is annoying.

The work around I will have to use when I finally get to the my canon play throughs is just noting down the save names pre big choices in my little notebook, where I write all my super secret special DAI things

Hugely annoying, and a definite "what the bleep were they thinking" aspect of the game. Save file naming is a must in my book, especially in a game as huge as this.

I was eager to start a second play through to do on the side but I had to give that up once I saw I couldn't name my saves. I might disable Origin sync and play one save on my laptop and the other on my desktop.

Yeah, I really miss this feature. It was extremely handy for knowing what specific point that save was made at.

Now, if I want to go back to something, I have to make a wild stab in the dark looking at the time stamp of the save game...not fun.

Im fairly certain that the saves are still sorted by character though, so assuming you start a completely new character you shouldn't have any issues keeping the playthroughs separate. I must say though I was suprised to see I couldn't name my save files, such a simple mechanic that I find quite useful.
